A friend of mine is involved putting an FD back on the road after 3 years in a container. He has asked for my advice on value but I know absolutely \'nowt about the FD. So I\'m asking for anyones help.
It has done 89,000 and is on SORN. It is a July 1993 UK car. It\'s in South Yorks.
It needs work to brake lines, discs and sills (careless jacking). Runs and drives fine but I\'m guessing it don\'t stop too well at the moment.
My friend will MOT it or it can be bought without MOT.
Any ideas on values with/without MOT?
Thanks Dave
Im guessing its had a rebuild considering its done almost 90,000 miles.
I would say £2500.
If it hasn`t had a rebuild £1750
I will give you £50 and a half drunk can of monster for it? ;)
£2500 seems a good price.
Thanks Guys, is that before passing an MOT or afterwards?
Dave
I would say that\'s a pre MOT price. Will be well worth getting it up to scratch as a i\'m sure a buyer from europe will pay £4k for it
The fact it is a UK car \'may\' help the price and that it appears to be stock ?
I just wish the UK cars were numbered when first sold and would love to know just how many are left and road worthy. I would guess about 25-30ish only ??
P.
well the sills, brakes and lines could cost £1400
its current value assuming its in need of a rebuild is around £1500
do the work on it without rebuild and the engine is still half decent you could get 4k+ maybe
could make some money off it
dc
if he brakes it i have the uk speedo lol.
Thanks Guys.
