Title: Car Sale Brokers Advice
Post by: CharlieP on October 27, 2011, 02:56:25 PM
Has anyone had any experience with such companies, I know you have the usualy \'Give us £100 and we\'ll have the buyers contact you etc\'

But I have been contacted by:
http://www.dadsspeedshop.com/

They say they offer warranty, finance etc to the buyers who might not want to buy an expensive car from a private buyer

Just wondered if anyone\'s heard of such companies, or are they filling their showroom, to disappear in 6months time!?

i work as a broker part time, property, expensive cars etc, i pay for the advertising then i take a % of the sold price. its my job to get the best price

i havent heard of them but they are offering a fantastic service but its down to how much they charge- tbh, they look like a car dealership and they will sell your car but want a large cut

I get the principal that the above can offer, finance, warranty etc But can only really see this as being apparent when spending a large sum of money or have too much money and are lazy and want someone else to find the car or sell their car as they cant be bothered with time wasters!

Its not uncommon for people to broker high end cars as there is enough money in the deal for them to take their chunk! Its pretty much how it works exclusively in the luxury boat industry.

The car in question was valued for part ex as £11500, they said they\'d get for me, £14,500
As a private sale I thought it would be only worth a bit more than that anyway

I remember an established car firm who specialised in high end Jap cars offering such a service a few years ago. I won\'t mention the name but the owner cleared off with quite a considerable amount of other peoples cash :eek
Cars are still selling quite well, just pitch your price fairly, write up a good ad and make sure it\'s spotless / serviced up to date and taxed & mot\'d :chat
