Post by: gsb876 on June 25, 2004, 08:43:31 PM
Saw a immaculate TII today on Ozzy road in Derby, if you\'re on here gives us a shout?

For once i was actually in my car, it was the purple rx7 with Dragon on the side going past Oast House.

was that the conv?

I saw that looks nice 112k with no mention of a rebuild though:eek:  might be expensive! on the other hand, mine was 115k with a rebuild at 86k and still went pop at 119k! u win some u lose some!

well the good news is the rad is out of mine now ( and a few scraped knuckles )

now i need to clean the engine a bit before i put the other one in

but yes - i would happily buy all the north west 2nd Gens - and have a nice breakers yard for them - but i dont think its a feasable idea ( YET ! )

just out of interest ( and completly off topic ) whats the best to get all the crap of the engine parts ( it looks like really thick dirt mixed with oil )

thanks

stu

There is an acid produced by autosmart called ALI, this works a treat but must be rinsed very well. As the name would suggest, it is an aluminium eating acid, hence the pucka clean!!!(http://www.awgraham.btinternet.co.uk/BIGYuppyAcid.gif)If you can\'t get that then a good alloy wheel cleaner will do,ie; wonder wheels, but this isn\'t quite as strong
