I dont think I will although seeing some single turbo\'d cars for sale for the money I could get for the money I could get back for mine in parts, with some cash to spare is tempting.

However driving it today I think I wait till after winter as when I had a chat with a mate about it last night down the local pub he quite rightly pointed out better the devil you know when the devil you dont! Done quite a bit of maintenance work so should stick with it.

If I dont break it I will be keeping the red carpet but reckon I probably selling some red rear seats if you interested as probably going to switch to some rear bins instead.

Bit of an end of year update after a year of ownership with help from Speedline Imports, RE Worx, Hayward Rotary, Super 7 and various club members.

A Chargespeed carbon bootlid from Mattie on here.

Some Spirit Type R Seats from Speedline Imports.

Some replacement coilovers from Hayward Rotary, Tein SuperDrift Coilovers.

Also some RE Amemiya pillow mount track rod ends fitted by Carl and his team.

Fitted just before Christmas a RE Amemiya rear light cover, spoiler from Jit on here but no photos yet as not been using the car over festive period.

Some early plans for the new year are planned such as getting some bigger injectors fitted, relocating the battery to the boot, getting it undersealed, etc.

Also on the look out for a RE Amemiya steering wheel but can only find them for sale in the United States.

Thanks for the comments.

Not selling the recaros, I had bride seats before which I replaced with the recaros.

As mentioned few things planned for the new year and hopefully I make it to a few more meets then I did this year.

You\'re doing a great job with the car!

Do you still have the Bride seats? Any pictures of them?

Cheers

A few updates and a few jobs off the list I had to do in December 2011.

Went and saw Jason at Super7 Autos in Sussex this week and got some work done. Got the car waxoyled, so hopefully that stops any onset of rust plus:

Jason and his team fitted the greddy elbow, hks dumpvalve and hardpipe to he intercooler and sorted the missing v band problem I had from December.

Also got the battery relocated to the boot in a box as had a race battery fitted in the engine bay to begin (race battery will be for sale if anyone is interested)

A big thanks for Jason as he stayed late Friday night to get the job done so I had the car home for the weekend.

Also met up with Martin from Speedline Imports today and bought a steering wheel spacer as since Ive fitted the recaros wanted to move the steering wheel closer to me so visited my friendly jdm dealer for fresh parts! Also have tidied up the interior fitting a cubby hole box and replacing the centre console with one in a bit better nick (thanks Keith and Dave).

Plan next is to get a uprated fuel system fitted. As is typical with my buying patterns, Ive now got two uprated fuel rail systems and only need the 1! Got this one after deciding the purchase made sense after a few beers!

At the moment I am going to keep both uprated fuel kits but will sell one later in the year.

So a thanks to Jason (Super7Autos) and Martin (Speedline) this week for their help and parts.

So the to do list now looks like this.

a. Possibly buying a recon street port engine once I hear back from seller.
b. Get the uprated fuel kit fitted.
c. Got a Bosch 044 pump awaiting fitment (if required).
d. Maybe fitted a new Hyper Clutch.
e. Get the genuine RE Amemiya Front bumper I have fitted.

Thanks. Car is starting to get how I want. This year will be more about mechanical mods like the above, etc

And I\'m not selling my silly BGW! Even if my other half would prefer it as for the last 5 months it\'s had pride of place on the sofa in the conservatory.

Yeah, I like them, have Martin from Speedline Imports to thank for them.

Plans for this coming week look scuppered as with the new coil overs fitted and re amemiya track rod ends was booked in for a alignment session. However with the snow last night and the fact they don\'t grit my local roads doesn\'t look like it will happen :(

Been a while since I have updated anything and hope to make a few more meets this year then last year. Car has undergone quite a bit of work recently with Jason at Super 7who has done a lot of engine work. Now fitted is a freshly rebuilt half bridge port engine, uprated fueling system including swirl pot, Jason has also renewed all engine and ignition wiring as mine was showing the age of a nearly 20 year old car. While the work was also done got a genuine re amemiya bumper fitted, re amemiya AST, re amemiya steering wheel to complement the other parts. Here are some photos.

A work in progress at Super 7

A DM Motorsport Coil Pack relocation kit fitted.

A video of it running.

http://s305.photobucket.com/albums/nn216/madaboutmx5s/?action=view¤t=rexvideo.mp4

Car has been set up and running around 1200 rpm by Super 7 which is what I wanted. Super 7 also tidied up the engine bay, replaced alot of perished pipes along the way and removed the entire rats nest that was outstanding from before. Car at the moment is mapped to around 0.8 bar, would have made a lot more but I need to get a decent twin plate clutch as the paddle clutch I have is slipping at any more boost.

So time to stop spending, enjoy the car and save some money for a decent clutch and replacement hks twin power.

Thanks for looking.

James.

Yes mate, the bumper before was a replica. Got hold of a genuine version so fitted that instead as rest of the kit is genuine.
