Title: HKS wastegate - which one and how does it go together?
Post by: Jonathan_F on September 26, 2011, 08:08:43 PM
Hi, I\'ve bought a HKS wastegate. Its marked HKS and has been messed with and needs some work to salvage. Can anyone identify it for starters?

Secondly, the photo below shows the piston as I removed it:

But I think it could also be assembled this way:

Can anyone confirm which is correct?

Thirdly, I can see the bolt out of the top of the spring housing is there to adjust the spring pressure. In this one its too short to do anything. Does anyone have any pictures to show how this should go together? Should the piston be locked to the bolt or free to spin as the bolt is turned?

Forthly, the baseplate has been welded to the manifold, distorting it and causing it to seal at one point only. Does anyone have one of these base plates to hand?

Fithly, and lastly, I need a new 4 bolt flange plate and gasket. Who does them in the uk?

Cheers.
