As title. Bargain.
Howard Rotary 13b PP race engine circa 250 bhp at 8500 revs.
Never heard of Howard Rotary. Do you think it\'s Hayward Jon?
There\'s an RX3 coupe for sale on car & classic too.
Haven\'t seen one for sale in months, then 2 in 2 days! Both look sweet as.

The engine and inlet manifold and carb all done by us on the race RX3 yes, and the power figure of the 13b engine put up is somewhat conservative, it would be nearer to 280hp.
We are getting 250hp from 12a\'s.
Regards
Carl
HaywardRotary, where would I be able to see one of these 250hp 12a\'s of yours? I\'ve been watching the forums and been to the shows and all that but not seen anything? thanks

Hi Hayden,
Unlike other engine builders our engines are not all at the drag strip.
If you go to Oulton park this Saturday Dave Nixon will be racing his RX3 there in a 40 minute race.I built the engine and inlet manifold and did the PP rotor housings. It is a proven 250hp on the Dyno and not the first we have done by a long way.
Go and have a look.:Thumbsup!
Regards
Carl
so thats a 12a then? cool. id love to go see it but its just so far away from me. look forward to hearing how it gets on as not heard much about that car before
i have been to Dave\'s house , its an aladins cave of rx3\'s :D

I\'d be interested.
It\'s the CSCC this weekend at OP. Is Dave in the Future Classics Series?
Thanks
Alf
Dave has won the chanmpionship a few years back with one of my 12a engines, he has been racing in Post Historic Touring cars for quite a few years but due to a big off had to repair the car big time which stopped racing for a while.
It is the Future classics that he will be doing this weekend.
Thanks. Reckon I\'ll head up for a look, sounds cool.

Another top person who incidently was banned from an EXclusive club for oldskool cars LOL!
25 grand.
:censored: me!
I thought it might have been in Zimbabwe dollars until i saw "GBP" a couple of lines above. 25 grand.
....twenty-five!? :2eek Like, thousand. Wowsers :3Confused
25k is not a lot of money for this car. Pukka group 4 Ford escort mk1 and 2s are fetching 80k. The rwd fiesta I helped build and work on cost in excess of 70k to build. If I had the cash I would buy the rx3. Simples.
Historic cars are valueable, developement takes time, thats a quick car, its rrrare and has not been bodged. I believe it to have been the ex Ian lawless car, has done the Manx classic in previous years, so compared to a historic 70s 911 its excellent value for money{twice the asking price at least now}. The ex Moffat rx7 is up for $280 k au so whats the big deal. did anyone see these?

Well truth be known we could talk about Jon Newman, Dave Nixon, Ray Nixon ,Brian Stevens, Steve Hallet, Damon Garde, Mark Newport, and others I am sure who are all decent people who are into oldskool but sadly were not appreciated for their knowledge and experience.
well its great they can share their knowledge on this forum then :Thumbs-up
