Just got hold of a PNC-1000, having major issues trying to get it communicating with my computer, did a bit of research and to use it on windows 7, you need to use the GX-24 driver or something.
Got Roland cutstudio etc, but when I press cut, I get nothing, just cues up in the print log and no movement on the cutter.
i have the same problem at the minute in my workshop at work, the IT guys have jumped in and said it wasnt a computer fault.... i found that on the first press for cut, it wouldnt do it, then id turn it off and on again, press cut again and it worked?!!
have to do this every time now! :(
im telling you, utter voodoo and witchcraft! or something to do with skynet! lol :D
Might have to try that, but your PC recognises the cutter doesn\'t it?
it knows its there yes, but at times it plays up and thinks it doesnt, if ya get me?
like even though it wont cut straight away, i can still set up XYZ axis manually with keyboard?!
mother:censored::censored::censored::censored:ing witchcraft....
Ugh, ideally I need someone who knows the equipment just to come sort it out
If I understand this we\'re talking a Roland vinyl cutter, if so you may get help here.

I don\'t use, or like the site much but it may help.
failing that talk to Simon @

You could mention John from Signcraft suggested the call, but he might hang up.
If he can\'t help ask him for Brian Peckham\'s number, he worked at Roland for many years, again use me as a link.
Hope this helps.
John
funnily enough, just signed up on that UK sign boards.
If Roland can\'t help me out, then I\'ll contact your guys, thanks.
I found them all a bit \'Look what I\'ve done\' and clicky but you may find the answer there.
meh, anything to get the damned thing cutting.
