Title: FAO: matthewbellamy RE: where is my item and/or money?
Post by: Lacey on September 23, 2011, 10:34:15 PM
Seeing as I can\'t manage to get hold of you or get an actual reply from you any other way, I thought something like this may actually get your attention and get me an answer.

I bought the Devil 18" wheels from you nearly 2 months ago now and I still have neither the wheels, nor a a refund.

You have not even bothered replying to ANY of my numerous emails for a month.

We agreed on a set price for the wheels of £225 posted (incl shipping) which I paid you.

You then spent that money, and even told me you\'d spent it in an email, on new wheels for your RX7 to replace the ones you were selling to me. After than, I get a message saying that you don\'t have enough money to send me the wheels via courier as you hadn\'t checked postal costs before agreeing a set price.

That annoyed me a lot, but I was willing to give you time, which I gave you. I even arranged for M1tch to bring me up to yours to collect them in person if fuel costs were covered, which you also agreed to, then went silent and didn\'t give me any necessary details to collect them like address or postcode.

After that, and numerous other excuses of how you lost your job and don\'t have any money, you\'ve made another person, disabled, and unemployed, £225 out of pocket which took months of saving, and I\'d like my money refunded to me, for which I\'ve sent you a paypal invoice.

One thing I find odd though, is that although you\'ve not had enough money to ship the item that I have already paid for two months ago, you\'ve had enough money to go out and get drunk, buy video games, and even buy a second car! So surely you have enough money after all that spending to refund me in full, correct?

Edit:

Also, it\'s been brought to my attention that I\'m not the only one out of pocket after dealing with you. Anybody else having problems?

This is not the kind of thing I want/expect to see on the MRC! Let\'s get this sorted this is a respectable forum and frankly we don\'t want scamming, crab infested half wits on here. Send the refund or wheels and crawl back into what ever pathetic crevice you cane out of... This is a good honest forum and I will not be silent if some anus hole puts that at risk.

Has you contacted the mods Lacey?

This needs resolving ASAP!

It\'s nothing to do with the mods (no disrespect intended to them) it\'s a personal matter, but as other methods of contacting Matthew had failed (email, facebook, and Matthew is only a guest thus can\'t PM) I added another avenue of contact.

Just received another email from Matthew saying that my wheels are still there but still need a way of being delivered to me, although after how long this has been drawn out for I\'d prefer a simple refund so that the issue isn\'t drawn out any longer than it has been already.

Actually......

I just checked parcel2go

As a stack of 4 wheels, 20.9kg each (84 in total) (8.5 x 8.5 x 36") as 1 parcel, only got 2 quotes of £240 and £300 (both +vat)

As a set of 4 parcels (20.9kg each, 8.5 x 8.5 x 8.5), got quotes of about £35.

BUT

The price is the same whether I pick 1 item of that weight and dimentsion, or 4, so that leads one to assume that the price of £35 is on a per-wheel basis? (£35x4=140, exactly what he said it quoted him)

Am I doing this wrong??

Matt says.....

QuoteIf you can get it all set up then i will authorise the payment for £40  which would only be for me to call cityparcel with a reference number  you will get from them and i will pay that way.
Somebody help me out here and help me get all 4 wheels delivered?

Did i mention they also come with tyres and are thus bigger and heavier than bare alloys? >_>

After my dealings with another member on here and DW, I will now on refuse to do business with anyone on a forum unless I know them by face or unless they call me or i check up on them with a landline number.

finally got my money back from the guys stepdad, but it was one massive bloody hassle which was un-needed, I sometimes think that buying and selling should be restricted to members only, or those with a certain amount of posts.

Will alienate a lot of genuine sellers and seriously reduce the amount of parts being sold on here, but would it be worth the hassle?

Some would say yes, some would say no, I guess I just like to try and always think the best of people unless they give me reason to think otherwise

I used to think like that too, but getting screwed over put a dampner on my outlook on human existence... in a way, lol, basically, trust now has to be earned with me.

I like to give mostly everybody the benefit of the doubt, Matthew still has mine and I still trust him to come through with the items I\'ve paid for at the moment.

By all accounts he\'s been ill for the past few weeks, which if his facebook status updates are anything to go by (which go back long before I added him, so weren\'t just suddenly put up because of me) is the truth, so my faith in him has been restored and I still trust him to courier the items that I;ve paid for. :)

don\'t know if it\'s still there, but there was a members trading feedback section - where you could post up feedback ebay style on the buyer/seller experience when trading with other members.

I\'ve not yet had a bad experience - but then you get to know the old hands on here after a while ;) :cheers

Van rental - midi sized van 100 Miles included ~£25 plus extra 100 miles at 0.09p a mile - £9.00 + diesel for 200 miles - let\'s say £25.

My guess is he\'s possibly too young to rent a van for the day - but self drive would only be just over £50 including fuel...
