I have a slight problem with my rx4...
The bonnet is closed on the catch and the release cable is not connected :spank
so i have a wire coathanger here dont suppose anyone has a specific pic of the catch so i can see how it works and fish and hook it open?
unless there is another way?

Just nipped out side and took these on my i phone for you... might help?? Easy for me... my bonnet is off so i can work on the engine :)

Thank for the pics, i\'ll go fishing over the next few days, i may be able to help you to if you still need engine bay pics, as mine is fitted with the series 2 rx7 engine...
You remove the bonnet brackets by taking off the front grill. Think there\'s 8 bolts, 4 each side, you can then lift the bonnet a bit to get to the bonnet catch.

grant i\'ve not looked hard but surely the grill comes off from behind?
i think with a bit of luck and a wire coat hanger i\'ll hook it if not maybe jack it up in the air and have a go from underneath
grille comes off from the front of the car with screws. I\'m back now so can sort the rx4 bonnet for ya rob....cut the old one off haha
I did think about bending the bonnet but would rather not, just in case it ends up needed!
