Title: Boost Issues
Post by: damehyndman on September 07, 2011, 04:14:51 PM
Having lost all boost the other day, intermittent stalling, even more horrendous fuel consumption and a very smokey exhaust points to a possible problem with the Map sensor :2eek

Having visually checked the sensor, nothing has popped off and I was wondering how do I check boost pressure/vacuum at idle using a commander? I did a sensor/switch check, but was unsure which one I should be looking and what are acceptable limits.

Any advice is gratefully received.

It\'s the sensor labelled PIM, think it sits about 2.6volts engine off.
