Title: Clutch Advice
Post by: Wombat-007 on August 29, 2011, 07:47:39 PM
Hey folks, can anyone recomend a decent streetable clutch for a single turbo running about 450-480fwhp?
I\'m currently running a knackered twin plate that is bloody awful for road use. Really harsh with no lead in what so ever and when warm the bite point changes each time the clutch is engaged making it a bit of a nightmare when pulling away and changing gears etc.
Also get lots of clutch judder when warm despite running polly engine and diff mounts to tighten things up a bit.

I was wondering if a decent single would hold that sort of power and be a better drive than the clutch I currently have.
Thanks
Phil

loving mine so far, near stock feel (compared with the exedy hyper single that was in there before), haven\'t done any drag starts in mine yet but holds the power with no issues from a rolling start

I beleive its an Exedy, bought second hand from Reworx who also fitted it. Had constant problems since and only covered 1500 miles with it.

Thanks for the info. Do you have the carb or carb-pro? How much was the clutch for you

Cheers
