what do you folk put in our fd\'s coolant system???
dionised or demineralised water??? or are they both the same? or does it not matter? ive seen both quoted in past posts so a bit confusing really:3Confused
Same thing dude. Usually called de-ionised water in motor factors, etc.
Or battery water
tap water, been a mechanic for 18 years and its all i have ever put in, but being in scotland we have softer water dont know if that makes any difference. just put in the cheapest possible bottled water and it will be just fine
tap water and antifreez/coolant no need for anything else
For RX7 I would say use de-ionised water! you only need 1 5 liter of green antifreeze and 1 5 liter of water.....cheap as chips!
I use volvic touch of fruit. Works a treat ; )
looool that would be my second choice lol

Sweetens the smell of burning fuel when you open your wallet :Giggle
De-mineralised, de-oinised (both the same just different names) and distilled water are effectively the same, the minerals and salts have been removed, but they use different processes to remove the minerals and salts.
If you want to use tap water, have a look in your kettle, if you have lime scale deposits, don\'t bother, if you don\'t have lime scale it could be ok to use tap water. But why bother when the proper water is so cheap. Mineral waters generally have high mineral content and should not be used.
You pay the money you choose
Why not boil the kettle let it cool and use that its the same as mineral water where its been boiled, i personally have always put tap water and antifreeze in all my cars
