ATEC-2 get my vote, look like Rota Grid Drifts on steriods :) What about the Nurburgring alloys? Look like BBS rims, would look good in gold with silver lip :D

aggressive :mmmm:mmmm
If you don\'t want to strip the wheels down and have them refurbed in 6 months time, don\'t get any polished finish Ultralites.
Nurburgrings are single piece with fake \'split rim\' bolts. IMO, there is no wheel crime greater.
you\'d be far better off looking for some JDM type manufacturer / wheels... search the likes of Pistonheads, ebay and DW :)

mmmm tasty I think they only comes in 9.5 or 10\'s,not sure if I can get these in 8.5 for the front will give then ring this week and see what they say
if you\'re buying rota\'s or some copies new. I\'d suggest trying to buy some 18\'s for the ear and 17\'s for the front.
17\'s don\'t tend to be big enough for the rear and 18\'s tend to balls up you\'re suspension geometry on the front and then sit the car higher. Also there\'s handling benefits from running 17\'s at the front, + cheaper rubber.
and on top of that, it\'ll look 10 times cooler :D
cheers guys I have narrow it down to 3 sets of rims just thinking what to get
so
rota GTR\'d they will be 18x9.5 offset 12/25
rota grids18x8.5 and 18x9.5
or samurai D1r 18x8.5 and 18x9.5:wiggle

Haha cheers man 9.5 on rear and 8.5 at front! They look nice I think
every day i regret pussying out and buying Ultralites. the finish has held up, contrary to just about everyone else\'s experience with them, but the sizing they offer sucks. totally wish i\'d gone at least 10j rear 9.5 front.
my advice is just wait, save up a bit more cash and look for some bargain original wheels on eBay or the forums. if you can\'t wait buy some manly Rotas, of all the companies selling imitations they\'re probably the best quality.
Jack, I tihnk you\'ve had the only non corrodey Ultralites ever made :D
Don\'t get those Samurai ones. They\'re too cheap to be even remotely credible. They\'re probably from the same factory as the Innovit/Wheelmania/Kei (not Kei Office ;)) boat anchors.

lol, i\'m not really a good example to hold up, i think my wheels have barely done 1,000 miles. the tyres have still got those little whiskery bits on the sidewall!
So ultra lite wheels are bad quality?
I am sorry to come inbetween but i was also interested in ultra lite\'s.
They\'re ok. They\'re no Rays, but they\'re also no \'driftz\'. The man problem is the utterly Xavier application of the polished/\'diamond cut\' finish lacquer coat, which seems to be breached in an alarmingly short period of time. Solid colours fare a lot better.
Ok thanks. i was looking for the " hikari " .
Maybe a idea to gif the polisht wheel a extra layer clear coat by powder coating?
I was broing ebay and came across 2 sets of wheels that I fancy but not sure how it is going to be with the import charges, having said that they are used sets so I take it as I dont have to pay any more charges?
can anyone clarify this?
also here are the item no for the wheels

Hmmmm.... don\'t reckon either of those really suit the 99spec....
Quite like Work Equip with a polished rim myself :King
Wheels are pretty personal, at the end of the day it\'s down to you. There are some things good and bad that should not be near a FD but some people love a set of wheels and others convulse and regurgitate violently at the same set.
Entirely your call man. :wiggle
