Apologies to Seymour pope if I have this wrong, but I was just flicking about on the net see who\'s made enough to sell their rex, and found this engine bay pic on popes webby..

Am I right in saying they are plastic pipes that don\'t peal and that\'s oil splatter?

The pipes are normally black plastic. They were probably sprayed silver and now the paint is coming off.
