Hi Guys,
I\'ve been going around researching this for ages and I have searched here but mostly found For Sale Threads.
This thread pretty much answers my question I think, but wanted to see if others have feedback / success with other options.

QuoteThe koyo N-flow are the tightness rads you can put in without modifications.
So the deal is my FD\'s coolant light came on a few weeks back, after getting it home (don\'t worry didn\'t drive far and car was only just started when it came on). It became apparent that the radiator is split along the end tanks. I believe this to be a common issue.
So for me there is no point using a stock rad that will do the same again. So I\'m searching for an aftermarket upgrade that will suit any potential future mods (300HP+ at most).
Here are the requirements.
- Will upgrade stock rad which is not adequate at higher than stock boost levels. Car is currently stock, but I understand FD\'s are known for cooling issues anyway.
- Can use stock fans with it
- Will bolt into stock location without too much fuss.
- My Engine bay is stock except for the ARC induction alloy air box. I may also in future install a Trust SMIC (which I have already).
There are loads of eBay rads and various other rads. Some are cheap like £100 - £200, then there is the Koyo N-Flow at £300.
I\'m pretty sold on the Koyo, but wanted to see if anyone has experience with other makes / models. I\'m told Koyo is made in Indonesia and probably not much different to many other aftermarket rads made in China but if others have had success with it, that\'s good to know and I don\'t mind spending a bit extra if it\'s worth it.
So is it worth spending £300 on or are there other "just as good" lesser known brands that will do the same job?
I have a V mount kit that is a modded £1200 Radtec kit, im happy to split if needed, the rad is slightly smaller than the usual Radtec FD rad due to being part of the V mount kit, but it still cools very very well - it was on FlikstRR\'s drift car with had an FC/FD hybrid engine - had an FD water pump and front iron:

Hey mate,
Yeah I\'m sorry I haven\'t replied to your other thread. I was looking at that but realised I\'ll have to re-mount the battery / AST and potentially other stuff if I go V-Mount?
It\'s my understanding that the v-mount radiator is mounted different to stock (you move it from facing forward to backward) and would need the intercooler etc.. to go with it? Or am I wrong?
I think this is why they have the stock mounted rad
http://www.radtec.co.uk/index.php?p0=detail&id=283&cpid=18&cid=93&partNo=RRXTT
and the v-mounted version:

I would very much like to go v-mount but I think it will blow out the costs and I really need to just get the car back on the road.
if cost is the biggest issue the £100 ones of ebay are quite effective, must better than the stock one anyway.
if run them in stock position and also upright behind a 120mm thick intercooler and its been fine.
im sure the koyo may knock off a couple of degrees more but the ebay ones are good enough for 95% of people
Hi mate, i have been running one of the cheaper versions of rad from ebay for the past 3 years no probs. I didnt do any research and found out after i removed the old one that the new didnt have the connection for the AST.Ended up doing the AST removal mod, bear that in mind when deciding on which rad to go for.
Prof has a thick cheaper rad off ebay that had an issue with the welding around the end caps, found the issue was caused by the vibration in the engine bay twisting the rad slightly, I think if do go done the generic ebay rads (some are pretty good now) then make sure that there is plently of dampning at the mouting points.
i have a pwr rad and a hks intercooler set thats in ok condition if your intrested £450 the lot

It\'s not so much price, it\'s more a question of am I paying for a brand name. As oppose to any performance benefit. I guess I was hoping to see if anyone with modded 7\'s or possibly people who run them on the track have feedback since this is where overheating issues can raise their ugly head :).
I\'m also looking for something that is literally bolt in. No messing about since my range of tools at the moment is rather limited and having to fabricate brackets is a pain in the ass.
I\'d also like it to work with the stock fans.
To me there is no point saving a few £ on a radiator if it means I have to pay a mechanic the money I saved fitting the thing :).
Other problem is that all the eBay rads are making the same claims and look pretty much the same.

Some say direct bolt on (but I have been trying to find feedback to see if this is true since I\'ve heard mixed reports of thicker rads not being direct bolt in etc..)
They literally all say 30-40% improved cooling.
Then there is the more expensive radiators like RadTec
http://www.radtec.co.uk/index.php?p0=detail&id=283&cpid=18&cid=93&partNo=RRXTT
This radiator gives a 45% upgrade in cooling when compared to original.
"It is not to be compared with cheaper Chinese imports sold on e-bay as these do not upgrade on original unit."
So as you can see I have mixed reports and conflicting information. I don\'t mind spending a few more pounds if it means what I\'m getting is higher quality and has improved performance.

What kind of set up is this? Front mount? V-mount? And what is required to make it fit?
Can I mount the PWR rad in the stock position?
I already have a Trust SMIC like this:
http://mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64398
Hence I was looking for a stock mount rad. However if the kit is complete and easy to bolt in I may be interested. However the price is a little outside of my original budget.
So would help to see pictures etc..
Also keep in mind that I\'m in Dublin so I have to add shipping to any of these prices etc..
