Hey im Mike and Ive recently purchased an RX7 FC Turbo II.
Bit of a story behind this one. My friend bought it with 58K miles on it in 2007 at the same time when I bought a Fiesta RS Turbo (was a cool car). As the years went by the Mazda was barely used, being a second car to an Audi S4 he had, it has covered an amazing less than 2000 miles since he purchased it. In that time it has had a new clutch and slave cylinder fitted at a cost of around £600! He also fitted an induction kit which seems to be of a good qaulity as it has mounting support brackets and it also has a powerflow exhaust system fitted. The number plate was also included.
Over the last few months I have been nagging him asking if I could buy it from him as he is planning on moving out of the UK so I knew he would sell up, he finally gave in and we agreed on £1800, It had no MOT or road tax and had been sat for 12 months since the last mot!
I collected it two weeks ago from his home and took it to my friends workshop, where I spent two days on it preping it for MOT (Needless to say it passed! :-D), cleaning it and getting to grips with the mechanical side of it.
Some pictures.

Greetings and welcome to MRC AWESOME looking FC you have! White is the best colour ;P
Awesome man, that\'s a good buy! Welcome to the club and do keep us updated!
Nice white fc, i like it.
Welcome
Nice one. Welcome to the club. The car looks familiar, has it been owned by someone on here before. I\'m sure I\'ve seen that Reg number before.
Ade
Many thanks for the warm welcome. It may have been on here in the past, im aware it was from the wirral area before my mate purchased it.
Im loving it so far, though im trying to get to grips with the engine and its workings. Ive had lots of cars (and still do!), but a rotary is new terrority.
Thanks again. Mike.
mmm... thats one sexy FC, even as stock... white is one of the nicest colours... I hope you\'ll be joining us for Rotorstock?

That looks like a very nice and clean Turbo II there mike.
Our fc is the first rotary we\'ve ever had but i\'m used to it now. As long as you take good care of her and service her regularly then all should be well
And also welcome to the club :Thumbs-up
silly question , did it ever live near alton towers ??
Thanks again guys for the warm responce.
Im slowley getting used to it, I tend to do my research before I purchase a new car so I know where I stand. Its due a service so thats next on the list.
Im not too sure of its where abouts prior to my friend owning it, all that I know is that it came from the wirral area.
If anyone can shed any light please let me know :)
I will be going to Mascrat Manor on monday to the Jap meet which should be fun!
Welcome to the MRC. Hope you enjoy it and have some good fun driving it.
Ive was enjoying it untill it started to play up. Im having major running problems with it now. Once started from cold, it will not rev up and wants to die. I changed the spark plugs last night but with no luck. Im going to try and drain the tank and change the fuel filter. Not impressed really as I wanted to go to Mascrat Manor monday night :(.
what plugs did you put in her ?? and did you put the leads on the right plugs ?
I went to Silverstone motorsport and got some NGK BUR9EQ\'s. The missfire was happening before I fitted these plugs anyhow, once the engine is warmed up it is drivable but not 100%. The boost gauge dosnt flutter which leads me to believe that there isnt a compression issue, also the car starts ok warm or cold. Im armed with a new fuel filter and some redex so Im going to attempt to drain the tank when I get chance!
All sorted now. Drained the tank, the fuel was black in colour and oily looking! Replace the fuel filter and put some new fuel in with redex.
Good news :) Are you coming to rotorstock in her then?
Ade
Glad you got her sorted pretty quick something simple at least.
:Thumbsup!
Thanks guys. Im much more happy! There must be a little bit left in the tank as its started to come back through as I got low on fuel but im hoping it will clear up after some driving.
Im unsure as to what I will be doing on the 20th but I shall see.
Many thanks again. :D
Small update. The car went back into limp mode. After being investigated by the guys at Silverstone Autosport, the oil metering pump was failing. They also refurbed the fuel injectors as it was leaning out and missing now and again!
Car runs 110% now, really made up!
Tip top! Time for some fun in her then :)
Yeh I\'m made up! Shame the weather is going poop!
yeah your not kidding
