hi all,

im about to put a exhaust baffle into my car but wondered if it will cause any problems.

will it affect the engine / turbo in any way as my current exhaust is 122mm wide (4.8inch) and the baffle is only 34mm wide

i used to have the apexi spring loaded bung thing in my fd then when i took it to hayward rotary i was told that it really restricts your power and took it out

I\'ve got a rigid one in mine and yes it restricts power but it makes the car driveable on a daily basis. If it\'s restrictive enough if will very likely build some backpressure in the system and slow your turbo spool plus it\'s going to limit the maximum exhaust flow.

I was going to buy one of the Apexi "Active Tail Silincer" bungs so if you still have it and want to move it on I\'d be interested? Preferably the bigger 115mm version.

I have decided not to use one. My car I\'s a time attack car that\'s loud in every way. From the gearbox. 2 way diff. Clutch the two fuel pumps and sard tank.  To the aqua mist system in the back. So will just buy some ear defenders lol and enjoy the 101bd min lol

you can use the tail pipe baffle, then take it out on track days. I use have one in my street car and it\'s fine. Its quite, doesnt make the same power, but still responsive enough to get me where Im going without the cops following me. I made close to 600whp and it didnt affect it in anyway other than sound and power.. it not like your going to race it on the street or anything so you will be fine.
