Hi Guys
Today I went to WGT, firstly to remove the Re Replica Lights off from the car and secondly to discuss the developments on my car. I got there just before 10:50am.
Matt was already there waiting for the lights. I took the lights off and gave them to Matt
As I and Matt were discussing my car, We saw an N Reg, White FD coming out from Pip\'s Dyno room-now what to say, it was owned by Martin (owner of Concept-7.com) known here as "Mart". I must admit that I have seen plenty of FD\'s, but I have never seen such a clean, cromed and beautiful FD. Martin mate your FD is really awesome :mmmm
He did some jaw dropping work on his FD and probably that FD is one of my favourite Fd..:2eek
When Martin left, I went to see Pip. We had a long discussion. Pip is confident that, I only need 1 Bar of Boost not more and he is suggesting that he is hoping for 800 Plus BHP
I don\'t doubt him (Pip) because recently he rebuilt and mapped a Danish FD which produced on point 9 Bar 609BHP. Both of us are running the same fuel system and more a less the same turbo thou I may be wrong as I think he is running GT42 which is bigger than my turbo...
After, we had our top secret dsicussion :Ladys-man, He showed me arround few cars, I saw a four wheel drive FB :2eek, That FB was really awesome and Pip had some serious plans for it. I also saw another triple rotor being built there...
His garage is like a magnet. Once you go there, you dont want to go home, you just want to live there. Its like a rotary haven, where you would find everything regarding rotaries.
Lets hope that my car is back soon, atleast before rotorstock 8. Otherwise I will be gutted..
A big thanks to Pip.
Mir
Firstly a big thank you to Mir for helping me get the lights off , im sorry i had to dash off but i was meant to be back in Birmingham for 1pm ..oops lol. Mir is a fantastic guy really knows his stuff and has an awesome FD! Im proud to own a bit of his car lol.
Yes Marts RX7 was a pretty site indeed, took lots of pics and has given me alot of inspiration and Mart was too an interesting bloke.
Hope your car will be back intime for Rotorstock Mir, it was lovely meeting you and no doubt will meet again very soon! :)
800 bhp! Niiiiiiice!
@Matt, cheers mate. Yes it would be back before Rotor Stock. Hopefully :).
Mir
so what kind of porting have you got in the engine now? huge bridge i take it?
Im personally hoping that you can beat Craigs twin turbo v8 as that the only comparison we have for rival power, even though i really like Craigs car
keep us updated with how it goes :D
got any pics of said white FD??

Grant,
All I can do is a try. I hate porting, however, I do have porting on the car, but not bridge port. Driving a 20b with a bridge port on a Road/street is just pure unreasonableness and also amounts to nuisance :Nono!
I hope I will be able to keep up with him.....or God\'s willing win from him, but I think that race will be just pure race of the century (at least for me). I have also got plan "B".???????
If I don\'t beat him with my current set up, I would have to retire for 1 year and come back with something more special.
Thumbs up to Craig\'s V8 . But, I will try to retain the name of his RX7.:Giggle

Actually I do have the pics of that FD, it belongs to the guy called Martin known as Mart here on MRC.
He showed me some custom made RE Amemiya Replica lights. Well, I just loved the way he made them and his work was truly commendable. He said he would be selling those lights to the FD owners.
Also he had a carbon DUCK Spoiler on the car. Well, what can I say! that spoiler just looked to me as if it was made only for an FD and if you try to mix or match it, it would be spoiled. To top it up, he said he made that spoiler himself :god and would be selling it FD owners.
I wish he had known computers well enough :) as he was telling me that he would have to get someone to upload pictures for him.
I think he sold one set of lights to CJR on here.
I will try to upload the pics.
@Karl_Tate, I think he shares the same enthusiasm as you.
Very meticulous individual
Mir
ah i see, i know this guy now, lives local to me. he has made quite a few parts for his FD, and will be making more parts in the future :D
Well then you are living near someone who knows what he is doing, lucky you :) He was a very friendly man.
Mir
Thanks Mir,Mathew and Carl for your comments guys much apreciated :yes
Mir and mathew nice guys great to meet you and hope too again soon (rotorstock weather permitting).
Mir keep me up to speed on that beast of yours (the car i mean) and stay passionate mate :WaveBye
Cheers mart, your car is absolutely gorgeous!! I love it!
Mir
Hi Martin,
So been down to Pip\'s eh ? What did you have done ?
Mine\'s at Pip\'s at the moment, having yet another gearbox replaced !!! Broke the previous one at Oulton last week.
Look forward to seeing your White FD at Rotorstock.
Chris
Hiya Chris, have you been running std boxes then ? Whats breaking exactly Chris ? - nitmare :2Mad
Yes decided to pop down wasnt happy with how she was running after the reworx mapping pre-boost.I had the opportunity then to ferry the car there and back on a mates recovery wagon but as she would have to make it under her own steam this time it was a trip to see pip.Anyway he said the fuelling was eratic and calmed it down but it appears, i may have an issue with the wastegate not shutting properly.Wastegates off now cleaned it out, lapped the valve, in and itl go back on tomorrow.Have to check the spring pressure is still ok,fingers crossed.
Are you going to be on the road for rotorstok Chris ?
:wave
@ Mir lets hope you can drive if its going to have 800 on 1 bar boost !!!

really?? what about mine and james willdays car? craigs will be nearer 1000hp than 800hp:rolleyes:
Mine has already done over 800@ wheels , I\'m only using wastage pressure on the road at the moment (722@ wheels) and that\'s enough for he road !!!!! Going back to the dyno to map the top end now I\'ve got the correct plugs in it , going to run 1bar and see what it does . I\'m not going to push it to hard at the moment as I don\'t want to break it yet , looks like there are some really powerful cars around at he moment ! ,

I do apologise, I forgot about you 2.:Hammer. What hp are you 2 hitting then?
What I meant by comparison is that if Mir hits 800hp at 1 bar then that should match tinkers 800hp at the same boost, roughly. But then again we don\'t know if Pip meant whp or fwhp.
I\'m sure your 2 cars are running more than 1 bar on your 2 rotors?

neither of us are sure exactly what power we are running, both cars were hitting around 145mph over the quarter so in the 700hp+ fwhp.
interesting to see if it will make 800 at 1 bar...

Yes me too. I can\'t remember what size turbo Mir is running but I\'m sure Pip knows what he\'s talking about to say they will achieve that kind of hp. I wonder what the torque will be like?
I know that Kev(20 B PP twin turbo) achieved 470rwhp on 1 bar of boost on standard ports with his 20B before going mental with his PP\'s. So.... Mir is running a large street port as he said earlier he doesn\'t like bridges. Or he is running semi pp\'s? Which would be cool. Then I think 800hp looks like an achievable number, but with maybe a Turbo somewhere higher in hp capability than the GT40 as that turbo is only rated to 800hp piston.
Now before I get slated for my guess work, I will say that it is only guessing and theory based on my Internet and book reading research. Lmao.
Im sure you will be able to work out his setup better than me. As I don\'t think he\'s going to discuss all of Pips engine tweaking buggery.
I take it your going to rotorstock for the hks series round at pod? I am hoping to come and chat to yourself and blitz and all the others as I don\'t really know many people apart Carl, Kev, and steve. Oh and Clive and Lisa.
yes we will be in the pits with the usual faces
Don\'t get me wrong I will not be happy till it\'s at 1000 @ wheels so far 800 @ 3,500 revs so with 1 bar it should do it , they are getting 1800 in the states but blocks break at that

I am hoping the same. :cheers
I have driven a 800bhp Supra, but the feel on Rotary is completely different...So lets hope..

driving a 800 hp car and thrashing a 800hp car are 2 differnt things i guess.. I know when i drive my cars they dont get treated nicely..

Well I don\'t think I am going to be ready at RotorStock :(. Solely because the car is not ready yet and above all I have spent so much that I am running out of money now! As mentioned earlier, Water Inject, Motec ECU, Mocal Oil Coolers, New Headlights and then labour charges has shrunk me completely lollll
No I am not running B.Port or HBPort or PP or SPP..as I hate porting but I have convinced myself to go Street Port.
BackgroundPip recently built a Danish 20b with the same ports and fuel system as mine-that 20b had GT42 turbo, the car made 609 BHP at .9Bar. So, hoping for 800BHP at 1 Bar is not unrealistic neither impossible.
My only concern is the turbo, I have two turbos, but I think due the cost I am gonna stick with Greddy T88 34D as I bought bigger turbo than that but the cost of labour and then re-mapping is going to break my bank account loll :) Hence, I think I am not going to be ready :(.
With regards to the current setup! I am confident that I am looking reliably over 700BHP because t88 34D can produce 860BHP on 20b.I have seen this on RX7CLUB Website.
So If I make that sort of a power, I am sure that racing an 800BHP Piston Engine would not be a big problem. Also when I started my project of 20b, I was deeply inspired by the RE-Amemiya Red 20b, http://www.turbomagazine.com/features/0611turp_mazda_rx7_fd3s_20b/engine_information.html
It also had t88 34 d turbo and made reliably 600+BHP on the wheels. So I am hoping for good, but still not sure whether I can finish it before Rotorstock.
Just an update, The car is already under the spanner of Pip :Party and after speaking with him today, the Water Injection is going in and will be managed by the MOTEC. I am quite happy with that, and also I am hoping that it will be out some time next week.. I will keep everyone updating.. Feel free to share guys

I meant I have owned and raced 800hp Supra in the past and I am sure I am competent enough to control an 800HP Rotary, but then its all in God\'s hands.. So, If God permits, I will be able to manage 800Hp on the strip!! that\'s if we produced such figures. :cheers

let me get this correct, your assuming that running 1.5psi of boost more on a similar sized turbocharger will give you an extra 191bhp with the same ports.
Am i missing something here as surely this requires a bit of explanation and noone has mentioned it

Mate you are not missing anything! Actually you are misunderstanding the information. I never said I will get extra 191bhp, I am saying it\'s "Not unrealistic or impossible" I hope it explains!
Mir
I am driving mine round with the lower boost setting (722 bhp ) , not had it mapped for the higher boost yet but for the road you just dont need it , I\'m not being a wimp it\'s just so so fast , straights are not so straight after all , the car handels it very well still drives good just you appear behind stuff so fast it\'s scary !!. It makes proper boost from 2200 rpm to 6800 and the higher the gear the faster it seams to go . It would be a real hand full on a track , the ecu can do in gear boost etc but not got time to set it up yet , i
Might run at rotorstock as is just to do some shake down runs to see how it feels , don\'t think I will be giving the pros any competition yet really don\'t want to break it !!!! It\'s good to see people still putting money into fds and not just blowing th up and breaking them

Mate not trying to be rude but when I have spare time I will look for the link! I am really busy and don\'t have time to get on my lap top to look for the Link! I am mostly on Iphone! Let\'s hope that my car is ready by RS, which seems remote possibility as it\'s not finished! I also have plan B, so will keep your request in my mind! Cheers

Hi Mir,
to change the thread slightly and get away from the power wars theme that seems to be developing here bearing in mind its not what it produces its what you can transfer of that to the tarmc that matters,
anyhoo!!
can you tell me who did the polishing work on your motor did Pip arrange that for you?? I am not sure if you have posted a bigger picture of the engine bay but If not any chance??
Thanks
ps I too after much gathering of funds will be arranging to take my 20b back in to WGT for ANOTHER rebuild, this time after the break in period I will be looking at a stand alone ECU with the objectibe of 500 hp on twins, I am sure I will need a few more mods to achieve this but I hope Pip will advise, Pip fitted a Boost Controller (at my request) after the 1 st service and it lasted 300 miles before going pop, I wont be making that expensive mistake again.
Thanks
Frank
Hi Frank!
Sorry to hear about the 2nd rebuild! But again please don\'t think that you are the only one as I have been through the same :)
As far polishilng is concerned, No, Pip never arranged this for me, it was someone else, if you want the polishing done to your 20b, email me the parts you want to polish and the budget! I will try to arrange this for you!
Bigger picture of my engine can be found on the thread, "My 20b is back from WGT", have a look at that! Just a piece of advice, No one can build you a bullet proof engine! But Yes, a good map and tuner can get you a long lasting engine! And I am sure Pip can map a car to a good standard! So going to WGT is a good choice, basically do it once and do it right loll
Mir
gillanis@hotmail.com
Hi Mir,
Thanks for the info, I am looking at Upper Inlet Manifold, Throttle Body alternator and inlet hard pipes from Intercooler x 2 and the water pipe to the top hose, Budget I am hoping for low to mid hundreds rather than high hundreds, what did it cost you?
and just for the record is was Pip who built it last time, however this time I will sit with Pip and get a game plan going to achieve the HP goal I am looking for as I want to keep it on the twins and with the auto box if possible, it was street ported last time, my guess I wll need an ECU and larger capacity intercooler, I have already had a full S/S exhaust no cats and it has a good quality cone filter and boost controller.
It over boosted last time and I think the fuel cut kicked in,I knew straight away the seals had gone so I limped it back the 4 miles home and it has sat in my garage ever since, all being well I will be ringing Pip next week to see when he can get it in, yours out mine in :)
Frank
Hi Frank
Yes it was Pip who built it this time. I am seriously hoping that it would work this time as the previous rebuilds failed on very negligible points :\'(
I don\'t remember how much it cost me, but I must have cost of them written in my diary! Will check and let you know. I will be surprised if you get hold of Pip during day time as he normally lives on Dyno lollll so the best will be to take an appointment and see him then!
Pip has done numerous 3 and 4 rotor engines so he is your best bet! Wishing you luck mate
Mir
Sorry forgot, in terms of ECU, go only MOTEC, recently MOTEC visited Pips place and developed few maps for Rotary Engine. They actually mapped a Danish 20b FD and my mate (who also has 20b fd) who is mates with that guy who owned that DAnish 20b told me that the power graphs and dyno sheet results were great. So MOTEC M84 is now trial and tested for Rotary Appliaction!
Mir
Thanks for the info and please let me know when you find those prices for the polishing there is a place not far from me but not seen their polishing work only their re-chroming which was a good standard.
I was planning on the Motec set up as I had read your thread and it does seem the way to go and even better that Pip has maps for the 20b so should be able to get the maximum reliable power from the triple rotor.
I was reading a thread on another forum about somebody using unbreakable apex seals? can\'t say I have evere heard of these what about you?
Frank
@ unbreakable seals!! Completely lie!!! There are aviation seals, and other seals and it\'s claimed that, the seal would bent but it would not break! My answer is loads of rubbish! If the seal bends, it will still leave scores on your housing and if there is sever detonation, you may blow them or blow the side seals, which will still end up in tears! So to me it\'s another way of marketing that\'s all. I heard Skern Racing Seals supported 1000hp on 2 rotor (apparently the video is on Youtube), but that\'s just people saying and showing videos!
In my opinion, Mazda OEM Apex Seals the best, they are trial and tested by Mazda who spends Millions on their Research and structual experiments, and I wonder how much those aftermarket Apex seal builder companies spend on their Research dept! Stick to OEMs mate!
Mir
Hi Mir
Fair point, like we both previosly stated if the engine is mapped for the modifications no matter how extreme then it should (in theory) put no increased strain on those parts that can break when everything is not how it should be, as the ECU is trying to compensate for the changes to air flow and exhaust and not providing the correct mixtures required to compensate for these changes and normally gets it badly wrong as we both have experienced :(
I think the testement to Mazda and their parts was when the 787b (4 rotor) Le Mans winning car was shipped back to Japan after the win the engine was stripped down only to find there was very little wear and in the words of Mazda it could have possibly completed another 3-4 races before needing a rebuild, thats impressive and a testement to their engines and mapping. Mind you No Turbos !! :Hammer
I had never heard of those unbreakable seals it was something I read and was surprised myself as if they were that good everybody would be supplying them and everybody fitting them.
so I am in agreement with you stick with the tried and tested just to be safe
Frank
Indeed mate,
OEM all the way!
Let me know if ever need help, I will try my best to help you.
Mir
Thanks Mir, I appreciate the offer,
where did you get the 20b engine from in the 1st place did you murder another Cosmo for it :Giggle
let me know when you get the car back, I am not going to rotorstock this year got a few things on that weekend I cant get out of
I should have my 13b Cosmo on the road in the next few weeks just mot\'d it just needs registering with our friends at DVLA get some plates on it and I am back on the road in a rotary,, only until I sell it
Frank
Hi Mate
I imported that Engine from America. The Engine was driven only for 22000 Kilometer and I bought the front clip off the cosmo, it was the later model of 3 rotor. So, effectively I never murdered the Cosmo, rather I bought a dead body with a live heart!!
Good to know that you have another Rotary as well
Mir
I was only joking It is nice to bring life after death my only regret is that some dealers in Japan murder a totally sound car, however if you see the prices of 20b Cosmo\'s now in Japan it is pushing the re-sale values way up not like I have any intention of selling mine but good to know as they are getting rarer.
Front Clip,,, did you get the steering column and dash with it? as I am after a little black box under the dash looks like a relay but it is the a stop and tail light checker,, checks the lighting system to see if any bulbs are out
Unfortunately! That was all knicked before the clip arrived! All I have left is 20b standard intercooler!
Mir
Hi,
it was worth a try, just cant seem to get the part number or I would order a new one from Japan, you never know Pip might be able help
yeah ask Pip. He may be able to help you.
Mir
Quote from: Mir;780721@ unbreakable seals!! Completely lie!!! There are aviation seals, and other seals and it\'s claimed that, the seal would bent but it would not break! My answer is loads of rubbish!
Ok I dispute this my friend having, real life experiance ,had two engines with bendy seals, PTS and now SCR
The PTS seals performed well and actually did save the engine on some hot episodes where as normal OEM seals would have broken, also my engine builder has broken apart an Engine which had waterseal failure that had PTS seals fitted, it was found that it had seen quite harsh det , big dents in the rotors, the engine still had good compression and the seals did the job.
Blitz, I can\'t challenge your experience for two reason firstly, you had Fds long enough and secondly when it comes to engine mods I consider you my senior in that respect. However, I know someone in states, and in Australia who broke the PTS, so I can\'t really comment. I know your builder Era, and he is very competent in my eyes, so after what you said above, I m really in a confused state! I will comment later on this subject!!!
Mir
Syed, why would you make a comment like that without actually finding out as opposed to just reading other peoples so called experiences!
I find it worrying when someone asks for help in an area and get the totally wrong answer from someone who really doesn\'t have the foggiest!!!!...just internet surfers who are perceived to know alot but know squat!.....( this isnt directed at you per say, its just a general observation, as i see it loads on this forum and others )
anyway back on track.....hows your build going?
Ed, my friend calm down :) if you read my post above I did mention that "I will comment later" the reason I said that was because, I wanted to contact my mates in Aussie and States so that they could send me some pictures of their engines. So I could publish them here on the forum! On the other side, I did once have Aviation seals in my 13b, believe me it all ended up in tears! Hence I was fedup and went for 20b!! On 20b I used 3mm apex seals, when detonation occured, the side seals let go and again I was up for a rebuild..
I like evidence based discussion but it\'s the Iphone and work commitments which is keeping me away from the desktop, otherwise I would have posted some pics! As far the PTS are concerned, Rice Racing has clearly dis them with some of his comments and evidence. Now rotary enthusiatic like me, gets confused because it\'s a rotary specialist talking and we rotary lovers are listening lollll
Mir
@ Ed the build is stressing me!! It\'s not finished! It\'s still with Pip and he want it to be 100%!! So it looks to me that It won\'t be ready fully for rotor stock!

At the end of the day whoever is building your engine (unless DIY) it will be whatever they feel confident enough fitting as they will not guarantee the build if they feel the parts they are using will fail which is probably why OEM is the normal, I bet most builders would not guarantee the build if you requested other specific parts to be used instead.
However as development goes on things will change,, who 10 years ago would have thought billet rotors would be available today.
Bad Luck about your\'s not being ready for RS you will get it back just in time for the winter mate :cool Fantastic !!
I heard a rumour on a forum from a friend of a friend who\'s missis told him the she read on another forum that best indestructible apex seals are made from cryptonite. Even superman can\'t break them apparently
True story.
Please don\'t curse me lollll winter??? Well I just shared my experience and blitz shared his. In all honesty I respect blitz for his knowledge and Ed is just my challenger lolll (Ed before you start on me, I m joking :) lolll).
I had an experience with the following seals
2mm OEM - I blew them
2mm- Hurley complete set of new seals- I blew them twice!
2mm Aviation- I blew them
3mm OEM- Never blew them, they remained intact after sever det
Currently running 2mm OEM and happy with compression and Job.
My mates have blown PTS and Rice RAcing speaks badly of them. Check his threads please.
So the results are clear for me. Except, SCS and 3mm apex seals, literally all the other seals were broken either in my car or in my mates Fds.
I heard alot about Skern Racing Seals, apparently they hold 800bhp on a daily driver 3 rotor Fds, but I have never seen them nor I heard bad things about them.
Nice One Grant,, :Giggle
I bet the delivery time from the Planet Crypton for parts would take a while and by god the cost for postage would be HUGEEEE !!

hahahahaha bring them to me! Gaurantee I will break them lolllll
Cryptonite seals is the only way forward syed. And they look cool because they\'re green.

Well Richard prior in the superman films managed to make cryptonite out of certain ingredients. There was only one UNKNOWN, so he just used nicotine. Cheap and cheerful, lol.
Ohhh I like green! Can you text me the post code of the provider so I can use my Tom Tom to go there and buy them lolll :)
Mir i would not take Rice Racings words as gosple as he has no credability in the rotary community in australia. He is well know for being his magical hands on a latop with result in catastrophic blow ups in his interstate tuning session..
I have SCR seals in my car in australia and also my new engine ive built here and they have never let me down.. Hurleys on the other hand - now they are junk!! would not touch them with a 10ft pole!!
@12at, thanks for sharing! Appreciate that!

Why does that not surprise me?
SCR seals in my engine have lasted 100+ dyno pulls, well over 50 qtr mile runs. just cleaned them up over the winter and put them back in. dosent start too bad for one piece either ;)
Just a small update guys. We made 580 RWHP on .8bar of a boost at 5 and half RPM (on a wastegate spring). We are having small issues with the fueling so, planning to map it to a 650-680RWHP . The boost bar will remain the same or may be 0.9 bar the max. The bosch pumps are playing up :(. Pip is not convinced so he may change the fuel pumps, use one pump for a time being or change the entire settings. I got to give him a credit for that.

Guessing it wont be coming to Rotorstock in any form then, completed or not?
Adam
I am hoping to complete it, but two things are confirmed for sure.
One, she will be coming to rotorstock
Second, No, it wont be completed before RS. Because, say if Pip finishes it off today, I still need the tyres, which I have not bought. I still need to put the Mocal Oil Coolers on the car, I need to install the genuine R Magic Lights on her, I need to respray the front bumper, she needs a complete engine bay polished, etc etc etc
But, this does not stop me from going on a strip anyway loll.. Hence I will be up and racing in Jap Academy :)
Mir
thats the spirit!

Excellent news!
Let me know if you need to borrow any wheel nuts again ... :p
Si.
Hahaha you still remember this, guess what? I am still missing one wheel nut on each wheel loll I blew my engine soon after RS! And eversince I spent all my time sorting my car out and never got round to put wheel nuts on her lollll
will be a pleasure to meet u again

580rwhp! Congratulations. You have had most people\'s pants down with that number alone, I calculate that at 725fwhp!
What sort of torque was it punching out?
@ grant once the final map is done, I am planning to post the Dyno graph! So people can see it.
All coming soon!

rob claimed this below from his dyno day, so id imagine its around 675bhp at the flywheel
Official figures 705.8hp 552ftlb torque with 599.9rwhp
if he can hit 680whp i think he will be just about 800bhp, give or take a few bhp.
need to remember pip is a hub dyno which might make the whp and fbhp closer together
Unfortunately had a sever problem with the wastegate. Pip was doing the final mapping and suddenly, the boost adjusted itself!!!! We never touched the boost gauage at all and the boost just creeped itself.. The dyno sheet does show that the boost creeped was experienced....Not happy at all... tomorrow he is going to sort the wastegate out and may change spring or port it or whatever he wants to do with it.

I just worked it out on 20% loss from fwhp to whp, either way it\'s still a lot!

that was last year havent got any definite figures now, wether it be more or less than last year.

I take it your doing tweaks to the map on your car everytime your at the strip then? To help suit for track conditions, temperature etc?
Quote from: Grant Monkhouse;782708I take it your doing tweaks to the map on your car everytime your at the strip then? To help suit for track conditions, temperature etc?
bits and pieces yes, we havent got a figure due to wheelspin on the dyno.
it was more to show the difference between whp and fbhp at that sort of power level, i know now blitz has had a play with your map it might be a bit more.
If your struggling with wheelspin, is there anyone local with a hub dyno?
oh well done dude....so thats roughly 530 rwhp.......so we should se you hitting at least 140mph terminals......(if you only rev to 5500rpm) and around 150mph terminals if you keep it revving!!!!
cool:Thumbs-up
Ed, I am hoping the same but the car seems to be taking forever! I don\'t think I will have high terminals because I am still on street tyres! Pip had the car for over 2 months and still he has not finished it! But those who want to race me I welcome them to meet me on the motorway! :) I am sure they will enjoy my driving skills! :) :)
How about your 20b killer mate? Is it finished or your are like me waiting for it to finish?

your terminals wont be affected by road tyres its your et that will suffer, terminal speeds are a good reflection of the cars power :WaveBye
what will be affected will be your drive train when it ****s itself all over the track.

Erm...well...no chance for me. My engine is still sitting a box atm. And my gearbox is still on the bench.

come on ed youve got 2 days youll get that sorted :wiggle
far too much to do due and just no time to do it...still gotta get my secondary rail made. some other things lathed!!!.......wiring yet to be completed...just too much to do atm.
Won\'t be killing any 20B\'s this time then! :D
Just a small update. We finished the car today! We met with loads of unwanted experiences and at end we decided to go on a different route! For the purpose of Rotorstock, we kept a boost at .7bar and produced 550 bhp (print out will be available at RS :). If we go above that we experience sever boost creep and that may result in blowing the engine on the strip. We know the cause of boost creep but the time is not permitting to cure it because ordering a new wastegate and then installation is another one weeks worth of a wait! So .7 bar of boost making 550hp is not too bad!
A very big thanks to WGT! Pip and Dave are legends!
