Title: 13b-rew bare minimum setup
Post by: rotaryhedgehog on July 25, 2011, 01:22:51 PM
hey all,

i\'m building a kit car and using an rx7 twin turbo engine as my powerplant.
as the car is very light i\'m not planning on doing any power mods to the engine as i think it will be more than fast enough at standard power.

i want to run the turbos as a parallel setup and reduce the clutter in the engine bay as much as possible. using a standalone ecu to control the engine, fans etc.

i\'m thinking of removing the EGR system and the fuel purge system. dumping the "rats nest" and the vacuum/boost chambers.

so what is the minimum equipment i can get away with on the engine?
the aim is to make the install as neat and simple as possible.

i\'m fairly new to rotary engines so i\'ve downloaded the workshop manuals and i\'m trying to learn as much as possible, any hints, tips etc would be most welcome.
