Title: Idling problem..
Post by: matthewbellamy on July 23, 2011, 06:50:13 PM
Hey everyone!

As you are all aware i sorted out the boost problem i had which turned out not to be the boost solenoid but the sparkplugs and HT leads, changed them over with normal NGK\'s and Magnecor competition leads and she boosts absolutely great now, just got a weird idling problem sometimes its a bit like lumpy like somethings draining power and then will cut out, any ideas? this doesnt happen all the time though..

Also my other query is do you normally get a tiny bit of condensation in your metal oil filler cap?

Thank you!

Could possibly be your idle mixture control, no idea where it is on the FD but on the FC we have a little screw that you use to control the fuelling during idle to run either rich or lean, yours could be running just slightly on the lean side.

What are the normal sitting idle speeds just before it starts to bog? Could just be not getting enough fuelling during idle to keep itself turning over, my EGI is a little unfriendly to start sometimes for the same reason
