Could you try and fit one of those exhaust bungs temporarily, my FC was massivly loud due to the new ceramic wool not full expanding, its much quieter now, perhaps you just need your box re-packed?

I\'ve got a bung in my Magnaflow Ti rear box and makes a big difference for everyday driving. Easy to remove for speed events. Even better would be an active one like the Apexi  sprung insert. If they were more readily available i.e. cheaper I\'d put one of those instead.

i went to my local stainless steal exhaust man, they made me up a bung about £15 a think, i only use it for coming in and out of my street late at night or early morning held in place with mole grips haha.

i hold it in place with grips jsut to get in and out of street, wont drive any distance with it. and the only reason i dont drill a hole to hold in in place with nut and bolt, was a mate got an asbo for not having his bung fitted while on the road, the police officer noticed the hole and asked where the bung was and said it should be fitted

I just got 1 of EBAY for £14.00 ! Car was 105 dB and a real drone on long journeys. Arrived in 2 days. Fitted a treat and some much quieter!

Was a TOYO sports 1. I drilled 2 wholes and fitted with nylocks.

Post by: boosted on July 28, 2011, 09:26:21 PM
Hi mate sounds like you got a custom exhaust  . I got a 4.5 " exhaust and the baffle fits like a glove. I can take some measurements if you like....wondering whether a 4.5 " would do the job. I have drilled a couple of holes know to tune the sound.

I am sure toyo would do an exchange.
