After realising that my current compressor is s###. Im looking at getting a new one.
Does anybody know if a 3hp 100ltr compressor (either direct drive or belt drive) is man enough to cope with spraying a car?
I know a lot depends on what spray gun you use i have a lvlp gun which if i remember currectly requires 5 cfm.
Any help appreciated as im trying to source one for the weekend
the bigger the better, so that the compressor isnt constantly charging whilst spraying.
we have 2 units joined into one line, pushing about 18cfm, i think and that handles car spraying no problem!
so would something like this be ok?

direct drive are always quieter so in my eyes better
Probably looking to get this one, does anyone have any thoughts as to wether it would be good enough?

i rekon that will do just nicely, see what your spray gun is rated at, then you will know if its right.
that compressor is a v twin aswell, look much cooler looking. lol
The gun uses 4.3cfm @22 psi, so do you think the clark compressor should be adequate?
i would have though so, ring the people selling it and ask if it will cope with your spraying needs.
it is a big enough compressor for home use. it might be the same size as the biger one of ours.
Thanks for the help mate:Thumbs-up
