Anybody ever tackled this job? Is it a nightmare? Apparently Pip quotes 3 hrs for it.....

Thanks

The Upper Intake manifold is the hardest part.  Once you\'ve had this off a few times it all becomes easier!

Quite a straightforward job if you\'ve got the right tools.

Just be carefull not to break any of the plastic solenoids with the hoses when you lift the UIM off!

It\'s a straight forward job. you don\'t have to take the uim right off just lift it up out the way. I\'ve done it in about 1 or so but if I was a Garage I would also charge about 3 hours labour.

Okay thanks guys....

Just to clarify I am talking about the pack that contains several solenoids which was designed to simplify the rats nest on earlier cars.

How many connections are there on the pack?

Does anyone have a diagram of the solenoid pack connections? All the diags available seem to be for 95 or earlier cars...

Thanks

Angus

If you do a search on some of the US sites you will come across a few very detailed step by step instructions.
