well, here i am again...............i just aint having any luck at all.
just got a call from pip at WGT, about my turbo 2, and he says it needs a new rotor and housing due to internal damage!:(
unfortunately it has taken me ages to scrape together the basic cost of a rebuild, so i cant afford it now all this damage has been found.
so i am looking to sell the car to anyone interested in opaying for the work, or doing it themselves.
its a white g reg, mot and tax have expired obviously, with a knackered engine. apart from that its all good. no pics to post but if anyone is seriously interested then just call pip at WGT for his assesment of the cars overall condition.
it only has 68k on the clock and has nowt else wrong with it so if your interested make me an offer.

i think its a reasonable offer as you are talking about 2k - 2.5K for that rebuild if the damage is that bad - and even to sell it once its been done - i personally think that you would loose money on it

we could do with the MRC forum ( well OK clive ) to buy this car - then sell the parts to the members and maybe make some cash for the MRC forum

2 - rear hub ( possible NSR )
3 - air box lid ( says mazda on it )
4 - any toys you have fitted BOV,FCD etc..

well, taking in to consideration how much the car owes me to date (lots and lots) and the cost of transport up to WGT (£200) i would be willing to consider it if you doubled your offer. but thats only if the money goes in my pocket. i have no idea how much pip will want for his time and if your willing to pay that then we may have a deal. as much as it wounds me to get rid, cause i will miss it.......................

good thinking.........the last i spoke to pip was about 9 this mornin, and when we left the conversation he said he would do some ringing round to try get the price down some.........
hell, maybe all this is pointless and he will be able to it for less, i dont know. i think it would be best if i wait for his call and see how the land lies before i accept any offers.

just an update
me and sean are interested in the car - all depends on the ££ that pip wants
my suggestion to him was to get a few of the lads from here to chip in for the car and we can work it from there
we already know that gman wants a bonnet

the good news all round is that he has not needed to take the engine out to diagnose the problem. he says he can tell just by the spark plug! (he is a better man than me)....
so his labour stands at an hour! which is neither here nor there.
i alson asked his opinion on what he thought the car was worth in that condition, and he says he paid 500 for a similar one.

you say it\'s not cheap, but if the body is v solid and cosmetically it\'s tidy once the engine is rebuilt it should be worth £3k-£3.5k if not more (I was on the trader yesterday and there are a few TIIs with new engines all round the £3k+ mark). Also I\'m sure Rich has a few 20B engines lying around waiting for new homes ;)! Seriously though that\'s the way to view it, get a good engine 13b or even 20b if you could find one and then you\'d have a really nice car. I\'m sure ther\'s someone selling a brand new TII engine on here....

well, dont think its v fair to keep the car at pip\'s when he aint gettin any money from it so i think it would be best sorted soon......................although if any one wants to make me a better offer then you are more than welcome:D just bear in mind that you have to add an hour or so of pip\'s time to any offer made and the car is to be collected from wgt, while the money needs to be brought to bham!

so unless i can ride up the motorway on my push bike, this is the way it needs to be. and i really would prefer cash to be honest. can meet you at j2 of the m5 if thats any help. once you get on m6 up there, its a straight road down to the m5. its the best i can do unfortuantely.

sorry to step in on this convo guys but surely the money direct into your account is as good as cash??? as for the documents, i posted mine to the dealer as soon as his cheque cleared, hed already taken the car so everything was ok. i dont see a problem to be honest but it all depends on how much you trust eachother i guess.

so it all balances out - i havent even seen this white car yet - it may be asbad as mine underneath ???
i must admit i like the idea of the engine swap - but mines had a new clutch and new ABS - so all that would need taking across aswell - not sure how much time that adds to it all ?

Sorry rich, but you already have one i\'m sure you wouldnt really mind letting me hae it... Its a shame to breat it, not many TII\'s with 68k on it. I\'d like to know how Pip knew there was more internal damage with out taking it apart. If he knew it needed a rebuild when he got it, then new housings would be par for the course. (or 2nd hand ones) The only way you would know there was more damage would be if he had cooked it.

it purely financial really - cant afford it :)
the price for a rebuild is crazy ( well thats my opinion ) and to pick up a s/hand engine , i belive to be in the 1.5K mark ???

I reckon if you hunted around you\'d find an engine for much less. You still have the option of taking your engine out and using that! Depends on if you want to have a white RX or a Black one!

I\'d be inclined to agree with you on appearance alone, I wouldn\'t want to swap mine for a white one either (but mine does have a rot-free underside - blown engine which requires new housings and rotors + I need to fit Miroctech ECU and uprated paddle clutch for the ported engine, well it\'s only money you can\'t take it with you)

you down load a patch and then do a full virus check - we had to do all our pc\'s here ( only about 150 !! )
update : the patch stops you from getting it , and the virus thing kills it
so you need to patch your pc , then virsu check it , and that should be the end of it - the patch is part of the microsoft update ( or so i am told )

they both need welding - so i may aswell keep mine ( and i prefer black ! )
