Who do you think will win, it will be quite close, but I am going for Haye even though he is the underdog due to his speed and heavier punches
Heart says Haye, head says Klitchko.
i think if Haye can surprise Kitschko and give him a bit of a shock he\'ll do it. if he\'s over cautious like with Harrison then no chance...
Look forward to watching this sat eve ( catching up with old mates for beer, poker, boxing = IN ) ..... as to who\'ll win, no idea... but I hope the Haymaker! ;)
Ive gone off Haye a wee bit due to the latest "superstar" type image surrounding him and the Rocky styley running through London and up some steps to same soundtrack advert on Sky is just soooo corny it makes me cringe!
A good fight with either winning will be fine by me!
:coolhaye:cool
I hope David Haye wins, but Kiltschko is a mean dude and it\'s going to be a heavy duty fight!
Well, the way Haye was launching himself into Klitschko i wouldnt say his toe was causing him to many problems, i am going to have to side with the pundits i heard when they say he was just too cautious to go (excuse the pun), toe to toe and just hoped he could land one big punch and knock him out.
if he fought as well as he talked, he\'d have walked it.... sadly for him, he\'s better with his mouth
Haye\'s tactics were all wrong if you ask me. I can\'t understand why he would stand off Klitschko\'s jab. The only way he was gonna win was to get inside it and rock his jaw a bit. Once he\'d been rocked he could have haymakered him.
I know the pre match hype is all part and parcel of a boxing match, but just felt he had a little too much to say if that makes sense!
I think he was too afraid to get inside with him mate, when he did get caught by Klitschos right, although on the chin he was moving away from it and at the end of his reach, up close and personal he wouldnt have had the room to get out the way!
poor poor poor effort from haye.... damn pleased \'I\' didn\'t pay for it!!
hopefully he\'ll get another shot at Klitscho....... but not sure hearing the news / radio??!!
Yeah wrong tactics, as the smaller man you have to work on the inside to beat the taller man. Long range attacks and trying jump in with a punch will only work a couple of times.
But you know what p...sses me off is when the so called pundits on the radio go on about Haye being a pumped up cruiserweight , and thats why he lost...wtf.. the guy is 6ft 3!!!! errrrrrm has everyone forgot about Tyson??? the dude was only 5ft10 !!! he beat much taller men by working the inside and throwing hooks and uppercuts. Really anyone with a height over 6ft frame can put on weight and muscle, pumped up cruiserweight is not an excuse, Holyfield another example of someone coming up through the weights
Now weight was an issue, Haye went in to light, he was under 15 stone when he actually entered the ring, I understand he wanted speed but he is fast anyway, Haye should have bulked up to 16 stone, he still would have been fast, but have the weight to stand firm and not being thrown around like a rag doll and put on muscle where he needs it , in his legs, his arms would have had more weight, bigger neck to absorb punsishment as he gets into the inside and negate Klitchkos jab.
He lost on a wrong gameplan and weight simple, Dr Steel Hammer boxed really well the best I have seen him, he understood what he needed to do and was very good at the execution
It was curious also to see Haye trying to play the ref as you mention rag doll, i dont think that did him any favours either, maybe there was one or two incidents where he was heavily leaned on, but it was almost comparable to the diving footballer!
I think height is the only comparison you can make between Tyson and Haye, Tyson knew he was the best, Haye only thought he was the best!
Should he retire?
When Haye was going on about a new game plan something we have not seen from him, I really though it meant him working on the inside and hooking, he just did the same game plan as he did against the other giant Valuev.
Haye wont retire, thats all hot air from him trying to get the fight in the first place, he wont be able to live with himself if he did. He needs to grow a pair of balls and be prepared to have a war to win, you cant outbox Klitcko, I think a fight with Vitali is possible, if he does get the fight, he must not be too cautious and afraid of being hurt, he has to mix it up and take a few licks when he comes in the inside , its the only way to beat a taller boxer
Is Vitali any good?
I should think so being WBC Champion, same say better then his brother in terms of style
Quite a feat two brothers holding all the belts, has that ever happened before?
Would the boxing fans also give me a heads up as my knowledge is poor, but in all the matches i have seen Haye in, i can see he his an accomplished boxer, but doesnt seem to be much of a fighter, say like Tyson, Lewis, Eubank/Benn, i know the sport is boxing, but reckon you need some fight in you too, do or die type attitude?
