Title: fd rear speakers?

hi as the title suggests i am after the size of the rear speakers in my fd, i have bidded on a pair of 6x9 but am worried they wont fit, cause mine doesnt seam to have any in the back of it but there is a grill there for some

you need  6x8s, 6x9s will not fit in there!!

6x8 fit as well ha lol I got kenwood 6x8 in mine fitted last week

hmm i wonder if i have those brackets in mine, i am wanting infinity ones to match the door ones i put in

you should do unless someone has removed them!
you can get the plastic grill overs off without taking the rear pannels off to look

pioneer do a set aswell, specifically for mazdas and fords in the correct size.
 
cant remember the model number, but the pioneers had a blue cone

if you still have the original brackets it is quite easy to use them to fabricate stands for the speakers. just done it today, and had enough room to fit the original grille back. frist took me a long time to fit as did not know exactly how to make them fit. but the second one only 15min. if that helps, i can post some pictures...

I just installed some rockford fosgate  p1693 punch 6x8. Fit without any modification

I recently installed Kicker sub and kicker speakers into my rx8 and they simply just went up easily and i didn\'t really have to do any sort of modification into my ride panels and doors . . . .

Neither did i in the end, they fitted straight in and you dont see them
