Hey guys,
ive just finishing building a new engine for my FB and just wanted to find out what in the UK is the better of the fuels.. I know back home in Aus the E85 on pump is the choice of the highly modded rotors..
Since being here ive been running BP Ultimate but just wanted to get some ideas of what peoples use in theirs and if anyone has any good facts / info on the octane of the Uk pump fuel..
These are the pump fuels i know of - any additional ones that people use post em up..
Shell vpower
BP Ultimate
Just going on the RON rating then Shell V-Power would be your best bet as its 99RON against BP\'s 98RON Ultimate. If you have a Tesco\'s near you then you might be lucky that they have there 100RON fuel there.... thats if they still do it and not every Tesco had it anyway.
There was talk a while back that BP were going to do a 102RON pump fuel but I\'m not sure if they ever released it to the masses.
If your engine is just standard then i\'d of thought the regular unleaded would be fine and save you a little cash too :D
Adam
thanks for your input adam..
im not bothered how much the best fuel will cost as long as it performs well.. E85 would be my choice but in my area there isnt any pumps available.. Thats one think i find funny about the rotary scene here people like to talk about how many MPG they can do in their rotary and to be honest when you have spent decent money on bolt ons thats the least of your worry!
I\'ve always used V-Power or Tesco\'s proper Ultimate (99 ron)
Morrisons pulled out of selling E85 a while ago. I use Tesco Momentum and Shell V-power.
The LPG in the FB comes from various places really.
Just depends on what level of tune you have really. When the Stock 12a FB was on petrol I ran it on stock petrol fine !
