Title: vertical maf?
Post by: L18M on June 16, 2011, 05:13:32 PM
will a maf sensor work if its positioned vertically?
just wondering what will happen if its vertical and you go over pot holes, will the engine run rough due to the valve in the maf being knocked about?

thanks thanks.

I know that you can see the values change on logging when you go over a bump, its a sprung cone which isn\'t as bad as a flapper AFM, why don\'t you look at fitting a hotwire MAF?

I think you might be able to, although im not sure why you would want to mount it like that, I wouldn\'t really want to mount them different to OEM orientation though
