Title: Warranties for rx7?
Post by: gambit on June 16, 2004, 03:21:27 PM
Hi guys

I\'m looking to buy my first rx7 and was wondering if it is possible to buy warranties. I know that a lot of dealers give a 1year warranty but if i buy privately would i be able to get a warranty from someone? I\'ve searched on-line without much luck so far!:bandit

cheers in advance!!

You wont in a lot of cases get a warrenty from a dealer that covers the engine, id be very very very supprised if you would get one privately, you basically take a risk when you buy the car.

paid extra and had a warranty when I bought my car, and was told it covered rebuilds

soon after buying the car I read the paperwork and found it didn\'t at all

The car is technically warrantied until september but given the company "Warranty Holdings" recently went bust its probably worth even less now than the 2p it was worth when I bought it !!

Every dealer i went to wouldnt give me a warranty thaat covered the engine without paying £400 or so on top.  Probably best to check for a recent rebuild than rely on a warranty.
