can anyone help me with diagnostic fault codes?

ECTS - fault code
Short - fault code

1995 - FD3s on stock ECU
the car is not even starting anymore... it will crank but will not fire up, im getting these codes.

I would guess your reading the codes wrong ECTS is the coolant temp sensor but there isn\'t as far as I\'m aware a code for short only, but codes for a particular component open or short, ie ECTS short or open circuit( 9 short flashes ). Stick up the codes your getting, if it is the temp sensor faulty its probably flooded the engine.

i got a diagnostic machines plug in at the moment and im getting these codes that come up..

also the fan comes in as soon as you turn the key.... ???

can the short mean somthing between why im getting my battery ran flat over night??
