Title: Air intake pipe
Post by: sidewaysted on June 09, 2011, 09:26:10 PM
Well lads I know this is in the wrong section but has anyone have a air intake pipe that goes from the turbo to the air flow meter. Its for a mate and he has searched everywhere for one over here in Ireland and can\'t be got. There is a small crack on it and its causing big problems. Car can\'t be driven.

You could just replace it with some pipe and some silicone couplers, its one of the biggest restrictions on the intake, so replacing it with straighter pipe would help quite a bit

Do you mean the double bendy 90 degree pipe ?

I\'ve got one spare I think - can let you have it for a suitable number of beer vouchers - but will be costly to ship due to size

Thread HI-JACK!

I can\'t get to my car at the moment but I am gonna be removing this pipe as one of my next jobs. Does anyone know the size of the inlet on the AFM? I know the turbo inlet is about 60mm just need to know what I need to adapt it to.

Sorry bout the hi-jacking!

Ade

Ok - it weighs in at 900g so postage is:

£3.15 for UK 2nd class (upto 1Kg)

Not sure if you come under that - but if not then I\'d probably need the address to get the best price for posting.  I\'d budget 1Kg weight once it\'s got some wrapping or something on it, and owing to it\'s size it won\'t be classed as a small packet.
