Looking at getting my first Rex the weekend, As you probably gathered by my user name, Ive had quite a few scoobys(6 to be exact ranging from A V4 Type R, to newshape STi\'s etc) Just hope the rex lives upto my expectations as ive never been in one either but always loved the look, and sound and that there a bit different to other Jap cars. Ive tried to leave Subaru ownership a few times with Evo\'s(which Ive hated, never again) and a Focus RS(loved, except FWD annoys me) but I always ended up back with a Scoob!!!:Hammer
So hopefully next time I post on here, ill be a FD RX7 owner and a fully paid up member!!:wave
Hi Scoobyboy! Im just down the road from you in Walsall :)
I too own an RX7 and has been the best car in my opinion i have ever owned, she has a few issues i.e the boost solenoid needs repairing and a few minor bits n pieces here n there with the bodywork (all being rectified at the mo ;) but other than that they are an awesome car!
Im still learning about the car as its sooo much different than a normal conventional piston engine but the people on here are SOOO HELPFUL and have helped me so much with my noob questions!!
Hit us up when you get your REX!!
Matt :)

Hi Matt,
Nice to see someone with a Rex close by!!! Im about 2 mins from Junction 10, M6.:wave
Looking forward to getting one, Been tinkering with scoobys for years, so be nice to have a different engine to play with. Ive got a lot to learn, but its all fun with owning and modifying cars, Got a couple to look at the weekend(Wales way) They always seem to be over that way lucky for me there about 30mins from each other!!!:chat
Wont be driving the rex straight away, As most the cars I have, I like to lock them away in the garage, and do the bits and pieces(like wheels, tidy up, service etc) As I find it hard to do the bits you want when driving it everyday, also save money on insurance, petrol etc to do the little bits!!!
Be nice to catch up when its ready though!!!:cool
Welcome to MRC..
Mir
Im about the same from the M6 too lol, i bet we only live around the corner haha!!
Ive never owned a Scooby mainly for insurance reasons as the last time i checked a WRX would ahve cost me £4000 to insure lol.
I wish i had another car to be honest and have the REX as my project car rather than a daily driver, its not about the running costs its mainly to do with the fear of a rebuild but luckily the engines only 8k miles old so got plenty of life left you just need to look after them and they will look after you :)
If you would like to contact us anytime my email is matthew_bellamy@hotmail.co.uk (matthew_bellamy@hotmail.co.uk) and we can have a bevvie one day and talk RX7, always happy to meet new people!
Matt
Alrite man,
Welcome along, I was a scooby man myself, had 2. A 95 WRX V-Ltd, and a 97 STI Type R 2 Door. But got bitten badly by the rotary bug, and i have to tell you honestly, if someone offered me 2 scoobies I wouldnt give my rex for them!!
My bro is a fully qualified mechanic, and i dragged him into the rotary world also, so much so that we own 4 rotaries between us, and have started rebuilding and servicing them also:Hammer Just finished building an 8 and have built several 7\'s also.
You will never look back
James

Hi James,
Cant wait mate, Loved my scoobys, but there bloody everywhere now, and there gone down the same route as the RS turbo\'s did in the 90\'s, where there owned by younger lads(im still young @ 28:D) who are thrashing them without maitaining them properly, just loads of sheds about for around £1000 now and just want to get away from them now and try something different!!!
