Noooo dont bother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
cost me 4ltrs of oil on the way to rotorstock heres why:

1. the thread on the spin on part for the filter is a diferent pitch,
therefore making a good seal between filter and base is hard to
make good.

2.You are adding 4 new hose connections and increasing the chance of failure.

3.you have to remove the nut from the top suspension turret
every time you want to take off the filter.

4. I chalange you to
A remove the dip-stick unless you have litle girls hands
B put it back in again without a torch and girls hands.
5. I believe if it were standard a kit would be provided to get rid
of it.

But on the other hand....

1. you can fit an Oil temp sender in the boss.

2 you can also fit an oil pressure sender in aswell

3 you dont drip oil down the back when removing (assuming -
yours has not leaked EVERWHERE allready.

4 Looks dead coool (maybe)

So really if you dont want the extra gauges DONT bother.
yes I have one fitted.

Cheers Paul..

they\'re handy on other cars that may have the filter awkwardly positioned but the FD\'s filter is so accessible IMO, there is little point.

No its in a Tescos bag since Rotastock!
However I will at some stage have a play around with it so that
I can get me gauges back in work.
