Hi peeps
My name is Ben, I live in Warwickshire and ive just bought my first FD3 ::wiggle
Been looking for a rotary for some time but found a rather nice project for sale - very clean shell bar a slightly bent slam panel, not an ounce of rust :D
Engine still turns but i think the water seals have gone, not that im bothered, looking to DIY the build :) Nothing like experience.
Some rubbish pics from yesterday, I plan to have her semi refurbed and running again by the end of july :)

Welcome to MRC Ben. I was wondering which FD you\'d bought (been following your thread on DW). Hope all goes well with the rebuild. If your not sure about anything ask on here there are loads of people with a lot of know how. Not that I\'m one of them!

Hi chap :WaveBye
Yeah ive been looking for one for quite some time, I went to look at a gorgeous one in colchester, gold VSX rims - I had sorted a deal with the chap who was spot on and my mother (who had agreed to lend me the money) called up and said "actually I wont"
Needless to say I doubt this will be the last time an RX7 makes me cry :D
So this is my one now, Either going to DIY the engine or buy one and do a straight swap :)
She needs:
*wheels
*coilovers
*engine sorting
*slam panel cutting and straightening out
*front bumper spraying
*feed skirts
*despoilering
After that, its anyones guess :)
Over the moon to be an owner Ive been dreaming about owning a car like this for far too long :cheers
Just out of interest, anything anyone would reccommend doing while/if I have the engine out?
Clean everything! Treat any rust you may find. Maybe simplify the rats nets when the motor goes back in if possible.
Im sure someone who knows the FD better than me will be along shortly to advise more.
Hey mate Welcome!! :)
