Title: Senna: The Movie
Post by: Ada7 on May 30, 2011, 07:33:29 PM
Just heard a review of this film which is coming out next week. It sounds really good as its a documentary type film made from the real footage of the time and goes though his life from karting to the end of his amazing life
Documentary exploring F1 racing legend Ayrton Senna\'s remarkable story, made with the full co-operation of his family, Formula One and the Ayrton Senna Institute.
‘Senna’ tells an amazing story in an innovative way, using an engrossing cinematic approach and astounding race footage, much of which has never been seen before.
This remarkable story spans his career from his opening season in 1984 to his untimely death a decade later, charting his achievements on and off the track, his quest for perfection, and the mythical status he has since attained.

Can\'t wait to see this. Been waiting for it for ages. He is still the best and most entertaining F1 driver I\'ve ever seen.

I have tickets for the first public showing of this on Friday. Plus managed to get premium seats too :p
IIRC Only Curzon cinemas are showing it: http://www.curzoncinemas.com/cinemas/chelsea/
But the Soho cinema has a Q&A with the director - shame i booked my tickets for Chelsea one 2mths ago :( http://www.curzoncinemas.com/events/details/617/senna-qa-with-director-asif-kapadia/

i watched it about a month ago, thought it was really good, showed how many things he had going for and against him, i watched the 2.5 hour version of it which to be fair didnt really feel long, ive heard the 1.5hour version they are showing at the cinema just cuts some of the interviews out

Does this version have subtitles? i started watching one and after about 15mins couldn\'t watch it as there were too many parts that needed subs.
... but this did prompt me to buy my tickets for Friday though

there are a number of subtitle additions for divx player for the movie.
just google senna movie english subtitles.
when playing the movie with subs just launch the original film file and then right click on the movie as it plays, go to subtitle options and then to load i think. find the file and load it. movie should play with subs then.

There are 2 subtitle files i can find - one is in 2 parts as the files within the torrent are split like that anyway and the other is just one file, but both subtitle files i found are not for the 2.5hr version.
I know how to attach subtitle files and even created a few in notepad years back, the hard part for me is finding the 2.5hr version with subtitles for the whole lot.
If a file name for the 2.5hr version you have can be posted i can do the rest. (file name will not give away where the file is located, torrent or otherwise)
Thanks

Went to see this last night and loved it! the cinema version doen\'t have the sit down interviews the long version does but they do play some over the top of the footage anyway... can\'t fault it though... well put together and tells the story well for a 1.5hr film. heard some talking in the cinema saying about a 10 part mini series... not seen anything myself, but not looked that hard TBH.
loved the on board footage of Monaco with a massive screen and full volume!
anyone else gone to see this at the cinema yet?
(will get the download on the go again as realised that the version that i originally downloaded was the 2hr version and have subs to match that file now too :D)
