Title: Fan belt disaster!!!
Post by: jakeyd07 on May 20, 2011, 07:19:02 PM
hi there. i have mentioned previously my fan belt problem and how they keep snapping due to the persistent running of the fan! i know people have mentioned things like viscous coupling before and electric fans! if anyone can suggest the most cost and time effective method, i would appreciate that many thanks, jake.:Hammer:Hammer:Hammer:Hammer:Hammer

most cost effective method is to get a used stock fan that has a working viscous coupling as it is the fan\'s coupling is staying tight and wanting to keep momentum when the engine decelerates that keeps breaking the belts by chucking them off.

Jake,
the cheapest and quickest way is to check the actuator pin on the front of the viscous coupler....

shows you how here...

Thanks very much I\'ll maybe just go all original and try sorting the viscous coupling cheers.
