hi guys,
we have a slight problem wone of our fds here
couple of days ago we found a bit of oil under the car
investigated that on the lift and found it to be leaking out of the bell housing (pretty much where the clutch is sitting)
it was coming out of the little hatch on the bottom side of it
my mechanic (not a rotary expert, but a decent nut runner) said it would be some sort of a seal sitting at the end of the engine block itself ! pretty much in the last chamber ...
i tried to mark in the pics

can some of you comment on this ?
is he correct with the diagnosis ?
if so, where can i get those seals ? part number maybe
usually the rear seal in rear stat or rear stat O ring
but on FD just double check the turbo drain to the rear of the block
for the rear seal issues the gearbox and flywheel needs to come off and you prise it out with screwdriver
and you can withdraw the rear stat in car ( if you are careful ) to fix the O ring if required
seals and O ring are not expensive
any chance to have a sketch or drawing of those parts buddy ?

is this a engine out job ?
Its a gearbox out job more than an engine out. Usually gets changed when you change the clutch !
