Title: Turbo Timer
Post by: Squealy on June 13, 2004, 04:46:24 AM
I have bought a Blitz Fatt dc turbo timer and harness.  When fitted how will this affect my alarm. (Clifford concept 500)
Surely the imobiliser will not be able to work while the turbo timer is active or vice versa.  When I arm the alarm surely the imobiliser will cut the power to the ecu shutting down the engine and therefore overide the turbo timer.  Anyone any ideas?

my advice would be to get the TT add on to the alarm as in the concept 500 has option of a TT, admitedly it\'s not quite as good as a proper TT which you can adjust the time but i just had mine set to 2 minutes & you can always press the key fob to shut it down if you want, rather good for pretending you are knightrider by having fob in pocket & saying shut down Kit while pressing the button (http://mindscraps.com/s/contrib/geno/rofl.gif) or maybe that\'s just me......
Anyway i think technically it invalidates the cat1 status (maybe wrong on that but then technically so does blackjax which has gota be feked up  )
Sure you can probably still use yer device alongside the clifford sumhow but sounds like a bit of a mission at best....whereas when part of clifford thing itself you can arm alarm no probs with the TT still running.......
