I have a windows update error code 80240016. I am trying to carry out updates but it won\'t let me.
Can someone recomend a website to down load some software to fix it. There are lots on the net but I\'d prefer to use a site that some one can recommend as being safe.

After doing the above it appears that the update error code has gone but the update hangs on the Internet explorer 8 update. No clues on that at the moment. Anyone got a hammer, that\'ll fix it!!!!

Could try a manual update of ie. Look on their website for ie. Or try a different browser
