Since joining i haven\'t really been very active as im slowly learning about the fd and dont want to sound like a complete noob when i give my two pence lol, somehow i think i managed to re set the boost controller and although iv tried setting it up myself its an absolute ball ache so its going into re worx on tuesday to be set up properly lol.
Since purchasing the car i have had to fit a new battery, managed to source an alarm sounder for my laserline alarm which is 10 years old and change the horrible old headunit out. Also im after a set of rear upper, outer bushes if anyone can point me the right direction?seen a set of powerflex ones on ebay for about £45. Im waiting for an nrg quick release hub to arrive which should hopefully make it easier to get in and out of lol, and will probably be swapping my steering wheel for a sparco pro one soon so if anyone wants my nero one than give me a shout.

sorry for all the pics lol;)
nice mate. very clean
Yep, looks lovely
CLEAN:2eek
Very Nice. Well wear!!
Great looking car, A1 to me.
Very very nice :D
Adam
Looks great!!
Wicked! Really nice, clean and very nicely done as well! :D
very nice, that is one of the best fitting front ends I have seen on an FD. The only addition i would add if it were mine is a set of Feed side steps, i really like that look but they are very subtle.
shiny, you will be sorted if your girlfriend needs a mirror when your out and about:cool

thanks alot for the comments, unfortunately i Cant say its my own work but i have learnt by previous car how much it costs to modify and this is the only rx7 i would have bought as i know how well its been looked after. plan to put my own personal touch to it though.
What do you think some feed style skirts in carbon fibre would look like? Also might getsome 18\'s to fill the arches more, probably a set of works alloys.
I quite like the wheels you\'ve already got on it! But that\'s just my opinion. :)
Like Lacey said i\'d keep the wheels, maybe just lower it a little if you can and a big YES to the FEED skirts. They look so good with standard body cars. I\'d even put them on mine if it wasn\'t so much work to get my skirts off and resrpay the area again :D
Adam
whats the best way to attach them?people have mentioned using self tappers but i really dont to put holes in the body lol. I would like to lower it around another 10mm but as im sure you all know the front lip is a nightmare lol, also where the join has been filled it has now cracked so i need to get the lip resprayed. Another thought on the wheels was to get them re furbed(original colour) and change the blue lip for a black one and get some purple internal drive nuts, anyone recommend a good place to get some?
Also will you guys have a stand at japfest this year?
dude - that is stunning! ;o)
Nice subtle mods, great paint and bodywork by the looks of along with a rather tasty ( and rare ) set of weds, in what looks like v good condition and ( more so than usual ) desirable widths / offsets.
slimline side skirts will look great - rivnuts FTW on that front ;)
awesome car :Thumbs-up
lovely in black just like mine but yours is defo a bit cleaner
hope to get mine there some day
wow iv never seen them rivnuts before,im guessing you drill a hole(roughly 6-8mm) insert the riv nut and then bolt the skirt to them? whats the best way of getting a watertight seal with these as i will worry about water getting up into the body? also surely the head of the rivnut wont allow the skirt to sit fluch to the body?
Looks similar to mine very nice, I got some feed side skirts and 18s, if your wondering what it looks like check my pictures

Powerflex don\'t do those bushes, that\'s a pillowball bush you can only get from mazda, though I think Atomic Rex are doing a replacement.
Nice looking car:Thumbs-up.
the pillowball bush is only on the front, im talking about the rear mate, found out i need a new one of these today which aint gona be cheap. Its got a knackered solenoid which is whats causing my drop in boost pressure.
http://www.rhdjapan.com/mazda-oem-kouki-unit-vacuum-solenoid-housing-fd3s-56016
shes beautiful *sniff* :D
Is your car in limp mode? If not then that solenoid box may not be th cause of your problems dude.
what do you mean by limp mode? iv already ordered the box mate as reworx checked it over and diagnosed it to be the problem so took their word. I can hear the solenoid clicking in and out which is causing it to dump the boost.
thanks john lol.
sorry for all the pics lol;)[/quote]
apology accept but worth seeing every angle! niiiiiiiiice! nearly bought a black fd but a white one popped up to me and so did the engine 2 weeks later! hurley engineering has had it on there drive longer than i have! :Giggle
bad times lol

So was I .

what do you call these then?
I would call them a damper/shock absorber bush so as not to mislead people.
the shock absorber attaches to the lower wishbone?
The lower arm is just a straight arm, the one with bush 8 in that diagram. The top arm is a wishbone and that bush sits in the middle of it for the shock absorber.
Quite a misleading description on the add.
ah right, well iv ordered the same bush from a powerflex website, think atomicrex do a set of bushes so i wont have to replace the whole arm.so which bush is it that iv ordered?
http://www.rotaryart.uk.com/acatalog/New_Mazda_RX7_3rd_gen_ext_body_styling.html
Go down to the pic that says Bush/Damper, it\'s that one.
ah right cheers, wish id spotted that before id ordered it lol, ah well may as well uprate the damper bushes now lol. like i say im gona just order a set from atomic rex.
