Title: private plates

so i know you cant put a private plate on a car to make it look younger but if my import was built in 93 but registered in the uk 2005
 
can i put a 2000 year private plate on it

Surely the UK registration in 2005 will have been from a reserved set of 1993 numbers that DVLA hold.....Like a \'J\' or \'K\' Prefix?
If that\'s what you\'ve got then you can\'t have a 2000 \'W\' or \'X\' (whatever 2000 prefix was).

If you\'ve got an \'05\' plate on the other hand, you\'ve done well and I suppose you can go for a 2000 plate.

So look at your existing plate and you\'ll know.

yep is an l plate
