This has been one of those months that what ever I touch goes wrong.
I just got off the phone to AET and added another thing to the list of .... hitting the fan, a simple chop a V-band off and weld another one on has turned into a mare of a job :reallymad
The exhaust housing is cracked. Guy could not tell me if it was on the inside or outside oddly though... This is a turbo that was rebuilt in the middle of last year with no signs of fatigue. So now the chances of me driving it this weekend are 0%
All these simple jobs and royal fail deliverys going missing are turning out to be expensive and are starting to wear me down, two new tyre valves ended up costing me two front tyres as the rubber was fubared due to a runflat situation. :( Various V-bands that assured would fit, did not. To top it all off, trying to be used as a scape goat at work while not even in the office! All I need now is a suicide threat from a frie... wait already happend.
I thought about selling the 7 but that would just be STUPID at this point ive already dumped too much money into the car and not driven it enough. This turbo stands me over 2k alone now. Now it looks like its going to go higher, I need to get myself a new exhaust hosuing to suit and a downpipe. May as well get the manifold remade too as its a ugly mess! And then all this will mean a new tune too~

Feel your pain. My turbine housing was found to be cracked to buggery too :(. How did we find out? Taking the engine out after it blew up for the third time in a year :Hammer Throw it away and buy a new one, it\'ll only go again. Or the dude will have it shatter into a million bits trying to weld it up
Gotta love rotaries :rollin
3 times! Im lucky then that i\'ve only beenable to drive the car for 3months :Hammer It\'s going to be uneconomical to repair the old housing so ill need a new downpipe anyway as its got the wrong flange on and looks like chewinggum! I\'m just really supprised that the cracks happend in the runin miles.
Love the rotor hate the motor. :p
