Look!!!!

After a looong 2 years and a month in the garage for engine rebuild and respray and a little performance upgrade, i finally have my fc back in my hands :Thumbs-up

Croydon to somerset, 1/2 a tank! BUT no big issues. Just need smoother map i think and better ? good clean TPS.

Operation "Clean up" starts (if the weather is nice!) then a list of things to do.

Fit:
RE Amemiya coilovers in place of the JIC ones
RE Amemiya Steering wheel
RE Amemiya rear spats (needs spraying)
Cusco front, rear and B pillar bars
Change rear disks
Bonnet pins (need to buy)
Lots of gauges!

I\'m sure theres a few other things i need to do thats just off the top of my head.

Happy days :Party

See you at Japfest

fitted front and rear cusco strut brace today, inbetween the rain.
Had to cut out a hole in the rear speaker towers to fit the strut brace. Pics to follow tomorrow along with along with fitting B pillar strut.
Maybe fit R Magic exhaust (with RE Amemiya Y pipe) and have a look at fitting rear diffuser and making up brackets to hold the sides on.

Undecided on fitting 1/2 cage.
Have some efini seats to fit next week :p

Re-am steering wheel is nice mate, if you ever want to sell it I\'ve got first refusal :wave

Strut brace and system looks like you\'ve done a good job as well, great work. And my opinion is go for the half cage, even if your not planning track use when you have a cage install it always makes the car look like it means business!

What boost gauge are you installing? Get some pics up of front brace and exhaust when you\'ve fitted it, can\'t beat some fc porn!

Looking good Liam. Ive been thinking about running temperatures recently as well, it\'s starting to get a bit \'warm\' out here. Perhaps I better get a new rad and maybe a new fan and not use her between 1-4pm lol! Stock airbox should be fine on mine I think, considering maybe fitting an extra cold air feed into the stock cold air feed.

Im still loving the RE:A steering wheel lol. What are your next plans for her? I missed the post with compression test, bet your well chuffed mate.

Cheers Ben :)
was just thinking about cold air and ducting, wonder how to enclose the filter in a box, Gruppe M sounds awesome but mega bucks :\'(

next bit is r-magic exhaust and rear brakes (booked for monday)
go in for some stickers on bonnet and doors (I got a re amemiya badge but cant bare to stick it on, cost me £20 new!!! just for a small badge 6cm x 2cm ish!!!)
then finish spraying my RE-A rear spats, fit along with RE-A style diffuser.
Make a heat shield for the tub, will be made out of the old mid cat shield if i can find it.
Rebuild wastegate with .8 bar spring (do that some time next week once i have the spring)
Oil change and install a multitude of gauges and change spark plugs (9\'s all round)
Then by that time, will be ready for mapping and then "Hellooooooo BOOOOOST!!!!!" :)

When i can really be bothered, properly duct the v mount and also duct the ic to bonnet vent.
Braided brake lines.
GP sport front bumper in a few months time..
then i think that should be it. Finito :chat

Oh unless i have more funds then bigger tub (GT35R) or if i win the lotto, twin TD06 :Giggle

Yeah it\'s an FB but with an S4/S5 TII mishmash mixing it up a bit.

Sierra Cosworth intercooler sat at 45º,3" pipework and Greddy elbow-distance from IC to TB about 600mm.

Aah right soz, air intake is straight into the turbo at the mo but working on ducting. The turbo doesn\'t quite sit in direct airflow behind the IC and rad though so it gets a half decent quality of air. The rad is mounted to IC (spaced off as much as possible with the space I had) then some hellasucky SEAT fans on the back of that.

The width and height is good for me, i\'m just not 100% sure about the fixings on it i can see why its fixed that way, so it hangs over the back. It just doesn\'t quite look right? Do you know what i mean? Perhaps it will grow on me though, get a full on rear shot, so i can see how far over each side the spoiler hangs :D

does that wing do anything other than slow you down :P

Not personally a fan, i reckon if you widearched the rear it\'d look mean though

I think the wing would have to be like that, if it were placed further forward it might have issues with opening the boot. Looks good :D although I would de-tango the front indicators, but that just me :)

my home made twin level turbo heat shield made from old exhaust heat shield.
reason for twin layer is from watching a survival prog. where then they made a shelter in the dessert they have 2 layers so air can flow between the 2 layers and keep the bit below cooler.

374bhp at fly at 1bar and turbo didnt run out of puff!
surprising as its .84 hotside on large street ported engine.
Full boost by about 3k rpm. I would of thought full boost would be sooner unless the porting is not so aggressive?
(305bhp at wheel)

anyone got any views?

can depend on a number of things, such as your manifold, porting (like you mentioned), turbo quality?, exhuast and downpipe, intercooler pipes etc

I remember reading somewhere that top mount manifolds where the manifolds are around 14 inches or so long are best for rotaries, could be a load of turd though
