If you guys have to choose between a four Rotor Engine and a Veilside Fortune Body Kit, What would you choose?
4 Rotor Engine? OR
Veilside Fortune Body Kit?
Someone really special in my life is advocating for Veilside Body Kit as she is saying that I have 3 Rotor, so why going 4? but she doesn\'t understand that Rotary business is just like a virus, once its installed in you properly, No antivirus can destroy it loll

Fortune kit is a hideous vile abortion from the past masters of bloated hideousness. A repugnant triumph of form over function, and an especially obnoxious form at that.

If you have a 3 rotor turbo not much point in going 4 rotor NA unless its for noise, power wise 3 rotors with turbos can produce well over 750bhp without too much problem.
4 Rotor NA will produce circa 550 bhp on PP ports. Not seen a 4 rotor turbo in a street FD due to packaging problems.
The veilside fortune kit has been done to death in my opinion seen 5 different examples in this country, so go for a different kit and be original unless you reaaaaaaly like the Fortune kit

nevertheless... I would keep the 20B turbo and go for some other bodykit.
Maybe the BN Sports like MadMike\'s?

Well, that is a tricky one.
Also, I know that a proper VS kit and fitting is expensive, but I\'d be surprised if it was near the cost of a well built 4 rotor.
Keep you\'re 3 rotor, get a different body kit and spend the money saved on getting you\'re current engine tip - top :driving
***Dons flame suit and prepairs to run and hide***... I dont dislike the fortune kit, in fact i go as far as saying i quite like it for it totally over the top looks.
But it has been done quite a bit now and unless you\'d go even further and customise it more it\'ll just be another F&F clone (ok, maybe a different colour but you know what i mean)
4 rotors are as rare as me watching Glee (never have, NEVER WILL!!!) so if its being different you want then go for that. But seeing as you\'ve got the 3 rotor i\'m not quite sure why you\'d want that extra housing.
If you want to be totally unique then why not try getting the FEED Afflux Ver V bodykit

As predicted, VF Body kit is getting the beating of the members. I tend to agree with most of you and that is to stick with 3 Rotor Turbo...Thou..Love the 4 Rotor atm..... I have a serious buyers at the moment for my engine set up and stuff, if the deal is finalised (which I am hoping) Then 4 rotor is all the way....
Please note that, now she is saying to me that I have told all of you to comment against VF Body Kit. lollll :)

So tell me would you feel sick when you have your NA 4 rotor and another FD pulls up alongside you on the motorway with a heavily tuned 2 rotor turbo or 3 rotor turbo then you do a roll on power pull and leaves you in his dust would that upset you LOL?

hahahaha, :rollin:rollin Blitz, who told you, I would ever go for NA 4 Rotor :rollin, When I was building 3 rotor, I was told to go NA and I said "NO" I only want a turbo car...loll, Yes, IF my circumstances permitted and the engine I have is sold for good price, cant think why not, I will build a four rotor, BUT THAT WOULD BE A TURBO....Luckily I have messed about with my firewall and bell housing so 4 Rotor Turbo would not be a problem-when it comes to packing lolll
Its about the circumstances, if I happen to have enough work, in the coming months, I cant see why 4 rotor project cant start this year lollll

FEED ver V is like the illegitimate love child of a TVR and a really fat Ferrari. Why take a beautiful shape like the FD and change every single unique feature of it into something from another car? Don\'t get it. Those lights look like they\'re mellllltttttttiiiiiiiinggggggg. Help me, help me

Dude keep the 3-Rotor Turbo!!! Forget the VS body kit and go for something else like one of the Japanese tuning companies wide body kits :Thumbs-up
Unless your planning on going turbo with the 4 rotor there\'s no point because you simply won\'t be able to match the 3-rotor turbo for power. Then you will think to yourself why did I go 4-rotor (if N/A) :Nono!
well if it is going to be 4 rotor turbo it will be part of a very rare breed and I will look forward to it.

There was a guy called Jan tore, who did his 4 rotor N/A through Pip..He was using something like TREMEC TKO GEARBOX 600. Pip said that gearbox was a handful. So seriously considering this gear box. I have used HKS Seq Dog Box..but the maintenance of it is like supporting another wife lollll
So hopefully TKO.... unless you suggest otherwise.
I have also spoken with Green brothers in NZ, they are saying use 6 speed Supra gear box...They are willing to supply adapter plate....So considering that as an option as well..
I am running stock box atm :(, coz no boost and undecided mind...So trying to explore the options throughly and see what is the best option.

If not going hewland then 6 Speed Supra box is where I would go and still make it streetable, Supra gearboxes can handle quite a lot of power , dont think the Tremec is designed for high reving engines in mind, more V8 style of power delivery

Short block triple, dowelled and capable of huge revs, with a good turbo all the way!
If you want to put a bodykit on something go and buy a Corsa, Saxo or Pug!

Syed, if you completed the 3 rotor turbo to the spec that want ie 1000 bhp with the other supporting mods (gearbox), you wouldnt be considering a four rotor yet. Get yours working properly, if you cant get a 3 rotor working, you cant stand much chance of getting a 4 rotor working, who will be building your engine? you could be in for a whole load of heart ache and expense plus no car for several years. Having driven a 600 bhp 20b FD, i can say they are the nuts, get yours to your goal and then consider a change if you still fancy it.

i like the fortune kit as it changes the car into something completely different, however i would go for the 4 rotor over a bodykit anytime!!
if you are going for the 4 rotor it just has to be PP\'d, i remember you saying you werent keen on PP\'s but just think about it, twin GT42R, 4 rotor PP, im going out on limb here and saying that there would be minimal lag, and i would like to think you would acheive over he highest HP figure that was acheived by the 4 rotor single turbo BMW in ozzy land at 1640 HP i believe??!!
going for anything other than a PP on a 4 rotor is simpl pointless in my eyes.
whichever you decide to do make sure you finish it and acheive some huge numbers!!

If I ever did a 4 rotor, It will b done by Pip! I have had fun with My 20b.. My 20b was over 600hp, before it det.. and beating a 850hp skyline was like dream coming true! So 4 rotor is just for fun!! Something different and unique!! I know I will eventually do it, but I m controlling myself!!

I have burnout bodykit on my car! But 3 turbos... There is only one car in Aussie, who is running 3 turbos on 20b, I have learned that it was a very difficult task for him and manifold itself was a nightmare!! So it is a no go area for me!! Two turbos can suffice thou!!

If you can find a source of cheap supra 6 speeds, then the world over her will be your oyster - they\'re silly money. TBH though I\'m not sure you will be able to - they\'re sought after worldwide.
Yeah I know, I had some emails today from sources in Aussie, japan and US, they informed me abt da pros and cons of 6 speed v161getrag! The principle reason of them being expensive is solely bcz they were introduced in 1996 and suddenly ppl realised dat they hold up to 1600 hp..so da demand went up and supply went down..before that, they were in non existence. Offcourse, some ppl did conversion on there cars. My sources are telling me dat, now da situation is like dat, Toyota don\'t want to sell these products to da general public except dealers.. Hence they are more out of reach.. That\'s da sole reason they going for dat sort of a price tag. One of my mate in NZ mailed me said dat, maintaing a tremec is cheaper then v161, coz if something goes wrong with box, it\'s virtually a nightmare to source parts from Toyota.. So alot of research is involved in that!! And I m not finished with it. But I m determined to obtain a best possible solution for our Fds so that v can enjoy a solid but cheap gearbox set up..
I spent some serious amount of money on these cars, but now I say to myself, if I had known, what I know now, I would have perhaps saved half of it.. So don\'t worry everyone wud benefit from my research

I vote stock bodied. maybe with the feed sidesteps, maybe a rear diffuser.
but what i don\'t understand why a turbo 20b hasn\'t done it for you. 2 rotor turbo\'s are scary enough, and now you want 4? I hope you put it to good use!

The veilside kit is inexpliccably awefull and was exuberantly designed by a man destitute of vision. It represents a dreadful and monsterous catastrophy of japanese interpretation of aftermarket styling.
