Im trying to find a chip for my ecu only i can\'t find any there all for a n374 and i have a n380 (may have said 480 but sure it was 380)
Its a UK car would like to fit it as i can put on my intercooler and use the boost controller.
Any help would be brilliant.
Any of the Jap spec ECU\'s (n374) for an S5 will work as a direct replacement. You will need to run super unleaded all the time though.
I\'ve got a jspec n374 buddy club ecu from Martin@speedline never used it but the car started and ran with it fitted. £10? I\'ll get some pics up when I get home. Couldn\'t find much info on what it does or doesn\'t.
The 374 and 380 are practically interchangeable - same connectors, same controls, but the Jap models and the chipped ones are normally maped to 99 RON - so as long as you use super unleaded you\'ll be ok.
I run a Bltiz chipped N374 in my vert, and it worked with all the stock engine ancillaries when the engine bay was standard.

Yer sold
i only run shell v power in it. Important use to using that fuel from my mr2 turbo as that had to run v power
if your local ill pick up if not would be good to have it before i go on holiday end of the month
I\'m near hull so not that close but it won\'t cost much to post, gimme an address on here or my email is mpybus9 at googlemail. Com and I\'ll get it out to you tomorrow. :Thumbs-up

hi mate dont think my car likes the ecu. runs ok but when warm or hot it wont tick over properly, very lumpy. drives fine but wont tick over put stock n380 ecu back in and runs sweet again.
do you want it sending back?
That could be a sensor, TPS adjustment or BAC valve output. To test if it\'s BAC valve, with your good ECU plugged in, remove the connector from the BAC and see what happens. If you get the same lumpy idle, then the output transistor on that other ECU is foo bar (repairable).

i know if i remove sensors on the stock ecu it runs like crap or dies as when i was messing about cleaning the intake and put on the air filter i forgot to plug stuff in and it didnt like it. (sensors were unplugged one at a time not all at once as i did each job indervidualy.)
im sure its the buddy ecu as it will run ok but then start messing about and if you adjust things you can get it to run ok then once it been driven hard it idles funny as soon as the stock is put on it drives fine and stops messing about.
but i do have to admit playing with the air control selinoid on the intake near the brake master cylinder it dont seem to do much.
would be nice if someone who new a bit more about them that lived close could have a look as im too use to mr2 and celica engines as i havent had a rotary in about 5 years.

Bring it to Rotorstock if you\'re coming - I\'ll give you a fiver for it for spare parts :)
Then you can fix it and sell it to me for double (£10) ;)
If it can be fixed ill use it just don\'t want a massive expense elts i might as well just get the greddy ultima early.
Does depend a bit on what\'s broken - as it may be the code in the eprom itself.
I can burn an Eprom with the stock code for an N380, if your chip is socketed, you could then replace the chip and see if you still get the wierd behavior:
If you do the ECU is defective elsewhere - repair may or may not be possible
If it behaves normally, then the Eprom code is bad and you might as well sell or keep it as a working Stock ECU with socketed ROM chip (easy upgrade for a chip if you find one)
There are chips on ebay but they say they only work with the n374 so i don\'t know if it will work with the n380
Other thought i had was if anyone lives close by that i can try a stock n374 and if all is ok just buy a stock n374 and get a chip of fle bay.
