Title: fc braded brake hoses
Post by: billybobbooth on May 03, 2011, 02:47:34 PM
Been looking on flee bay and few other places for braded brake hoses for my 1989-1991 rx7 fc turbo 11. There are a few about but then when you read into it the only cover 1986-1988 and non seem to be listed for the 89+

question is Will the 86-88 fit?

I\'m pretty sure those are the ones I fitted to the rear of the FC (haven\'t done the fronts yet).

I did have to file off one of the rings on the end of the flexible hose so that the retaining spring clip fitted it correctly.

for anyone who is intrseted i just looked ap part numbers for a 1987 turbo and then for a 1990 turbo fc and there some of the parts match both cars. there are extra pipes avalable for the 1990 car but they still also use the same part numbers as the 1987 car.

I fitted goodridge braided lines all round and the fronts are fine but the rears you need a round file to make the hole a touch bigger as prof said to get the clips on.

I fitted reconditioned calipers aswell and the difference was amazing, my abs isn\'t working and the pedal feels so much better for it, now love my brakes just gotta be careful I don\'t lock up my wheels under heavy braking! But it\'s very controllable and I can stop a lot quicker than with abs? Little confused by that but hey my brakes are now sick.

Braided lines come highly recommended from me :)
