Title: headlights wont work on fd
Post by: stronzen on May 03, 2011, 08:30:01 AM
hi guys,

for some reason my headlights (low beam) wont work

retras will go up when i push the button, but wont do so when i turn on low beam (no light either)

however when pulling for high beam, they do go up and light up no problem

so i guessed it must be some fuse or relay and i checked those.

all fuses in the engine bay seem ok... same for the relays.

however when i checked for voltage in the fusebox (marked in pic)
the voltmeter showed 0 !

any clues ?

are there any more fuses/relays related to the headlights in the interior ?

many thanks

just checked for voltage again and it did show 12V at the fuse box... so thats sorted (must have been my mistake)

just had this prob.. in the pic above. just to the right of the next big fuse box over wheel arch.. there is a rubber coated relay. thats the one thats most likely to be messed up.. mine took apart. wd40 over night. dried it out .. perfect
