Not sure if anyone caught this last night, but seeing as possibly the 2 best teams in the world were playing, i thought i should and.......
turned off just after half time, which is a shame as i missed the brilliance of Messi!
What and absolute farce, i dont think i have ever seen a game played in such bad spirit, teams surrounding the ref (including goalkeepers) baying for cards, players clutching their faces after challenges when nothing went near their face, theatrics all over the shop, none more so than that highly irritating little rat Alves, all over players during his challenges but when anyone challenges him he drops like a stone clutching at whatever part of the body he can get his hands on, last night resulting in Pepe getting sent off (straight red) and after Alves was stretchered of the pitch not 2 secs later he was sprinting on like a 100m metre athalete, tussles on the touch line whilst leaving the pitch at half time + much more that certainly wasnt football.
Fifa seriously need to address this play acting for the good of the game. I believe if you are genuinely injured that requires you to either stay down for 15 secs or more or you are stretchered of the pitch you should have a minimum treatment time of "x" or until the ball next goes out of play.
Such a shame to see so many talented individuals being tw*ts and not just playing football but playing the ref! :Grrr
Messi\'s second goal was awesome though, wasn\'t it?
Messi\'s goal was an absolute dream to watch on Par with Maradonna\'s goal against England
It\'s this sort of thing that makes me glad I watch Championship football, there are far less histrionics and silliness and the football is more entertaining.

Amen to that, but I\'m sure we would both settle for our teams in the Premier league though!
I saw the goals on Sky Sports News this morning and i cant disagree, sheer brilliance, but ruined by the manner in which the game was played, just not good for the future of football. :2Rolleyes

If my team win the next two games then they will be!
Blame Mourinho - after kicking Barca out of the cup final, they didn\'t have much choice but to either join the kicking game or make it difficult for Real to do it again by making it obvious what was going on. At least the football team won and anti-football Mourinho lost.
I would have preferred to see Barca simply outplay them (which they also did), but I suppose there\'s too much at stake.
Sadly for Barca they had to lower themselves to the same level as Real, Mourinho has been purposely winding them up whenever there was a microphone within 100yards !!!
If you have watched Real try to deal with Messi for the past few seasons you will notice that they have taken to simply kicking him, hence why it becomes a joke when everyone is diving.
Even on that night when Messi was on the deck Alonso walked past and knee\'d him casually, then you have Marsello stamping on Pedro then asking the ref tpo book him for play acting?????
Both sides need to play football !!!!
The funny thing was that Buscets is apparently the hard man of spanish football :rollin:rollin:rollin get Duncan Ferguson on him !!!!
I was showing no preference, both teams were behaving badly!
By all accounts Uefa are looking at 5 separate incidents within the game, which is good!
Still, you cant really see anyone beating Barca which is ominous for the rest! :Thumbs-up
