Title: How to properly bleed the S5 TII cooling system?
Post by: yiug412 on April 27, 2011, 06:42:40 PM
Another question from me again :chat

I have got a Haynes manual which shows how to bleed the S4 radiator where they have a bleed screw at the top hose which... i dont have.

I have got an aftermarket radiator with a screw on top of the radiator which is not the highest point of the system. Can anyone show me how i can properly bleed this system please?

As well seems like the overflow tank is not doing anything even the engine is warm, would that be because im using the 1.1bar radiator cap or just a poor quality made in china product?

Cheers

Louis

disconnect the bottom hose of the rad and let coolant out that way?

There is a drain hole in the bottom of the block too.
When I\'ve done mine I\'ve had to run it for quite a while and burp it lots. Even when I think its full I take it out for a short drive and it\'ll need topping up. Maybe even a couple of times. They seem to hold air locks quite well the roteries.

yea agree

my main concern is that because the overflow function is not working now. I\'m afraid the air lock wouldnt be able to get out and screw up the engine ><
