Ok this has been a long time coming so here goes,
My plan is to have my FD half bridge ported and run about 400bhp on the stock twins on a non sequential setup but still keep it road legal so i could have a nice blast in this lovely weather,
First thing i did once i had this idea was to do lots and lots of research and i found out that only a few people have done this in the past so it should be an interesting build,
Well fisrt thing i had top decide was whether to pull apart the block that was already in my car and was rebuilt only 13000 miles ago, decided against this as it would be better financially to sell the engine and buy another engine,
First thing to do then would be to remove the engine that was in there

Next thing to do after that would be to get 2 engines, one as a bare block and another with all the ancilleries still attached so they could be fitted to the new engine,
We stripped down the first engine to find that it was in brilliant condition, both rotor housings were re useable admitedly there was some slight scoring but nothing major at all,
all the other plates were in good condition aswell so could be reused, the rotors were in very good condition aswell so pretty much everything could be used which was incredibly lucky,
stripped down the 2nd engine which had all the ancilleries on it, most of it was done in the boot of my poor laguna haha but managed it,
2nd engine was pretty damaged both front and rear plates were scored pretty badly center plate was scored aswell, e-shaft was damaged, a rotor was damaged
But by some form of amazing luck the rotor housings were in mint condition no scoring at all which is an awesome start,
Next on the list of things to do is to put some money together for a rebuild kit, i will be going for the Atkins Rotary Master Rebuild kit with solid corner seals and i will be using Mazda stock 2mm 2 piece tips which i have already got ready to go,
Here are a few pics of what has been done already

awesome work
Top marks for dismantled rotor on dining table shot, and bonus point for gearbox on the dining room floor.
Fair play for taking it on.
Iv only been doing the rotor faces at the mo, i will start the sides tonight cleaning all the side seal grooves and corner seal holes and also where the apex seal sits and hopefulley it wont take me that long at all then i will have 4 lovely clean rotors (2 in the engine, 1 for sale soon and 1 as an ornament to my wifes delight lol) so here are my clean faces as they are at the moment

Ok so finally finished cleaning the rotors, cleaning the faces was the hardest part, the sides and all the intricate stuff was easy in comparison,
So here are the final pictures (hopefully) of the clean rotors, i will take them to get inspected just to ensure that they are clean enough
